I rented a storage unit here at the end of July 2025. I was prorated for that month and ended up moving my things in August 1, 2025. It’s August 5 and I went to the unit to swap out some items and the gate was closed. I used the website and was unable to log into my account. I tried resetting my password and the website would not retrieve my security questions. I called the number on my receipt for August. When I spoke with the lady she confirmed my information and texted me a code and the call was disconnected. The gate code did not work. Yes I was entering the code correctly, and yes I pushed “#” after entering the code. I tried calling back twice to be left on hold for over 15 minutes several times. I called again and chose the option to schedule a move out o. Hopes to get to a different person. He told me the gate should be left open. It is not… if it was, I would have drove up to my unit and exchanged items like I did when I moved in. I am still sitting on hold for going on twenty minutes now. I haven’t even had my things in this unit for a week yet, and this is the type of service I get? No call backs and just sitting on hold. I can’t access my online account and you have all the money you’ve been “owed” so far, thousands of dollars worth of my items and I can’t access any of it. ... Read more

I was a 13 year $25,000+ customer of this facility. Now just based on that alone one would think you should be treated with respect. My locker was the size of a semi trailer doors on both ends. My locker held not only collectibles rather collections. My locker held my retirement. My locker held ** My Harley Davidson **. Now after making roughly 155 payments on May my normal payment was sent of $180.00. KO Storage office staff credited me $18.00. On June 25th I was auctioned off... Now I'm going to jump forward to when I found out when I lost my retirement and Harley Davidson. The office staff had called after receiving actually June & July rent. She said you've been auctioned off I said WHAT where is my Harley Davidson? She said impounded up to you to find it? I called everywhere could not find it. At that point I called the POLICE. The lady at KO Storage when asked said this was over $234.00. Well I don't believe her they can't do simple math. The very next day when I called and talked to her and brought up $234.00 she said where did you get that number? I replied from you yesterday? She said I never said that. I said WHAT you think I pulled it out of thin air? I no longer want to speak to a liar. First lie was my bike was not impounded. So now I'm talking to management he reviewed what happened called the next day and said Jerry how about we give you every penny you spent with KO Storage it was like 18 months I said NO. He turned it over to someone else he said Jerry how about I get your Harley Davidson back and family pieces what else? I said EVERYTHING!!! No communication after that. They denied that My Harley Davidson was even in the locker? I had them send me a photo I zoomed in and seen it. Also I noticed this photo was from June 3rd? You can not enter that was wrong. Couple other things now I did send them court papers thinking they might try to finish settling. I never filed them to the court. They in return sent me court papers for dismissal.Brief zoom court I later learned without a lawyer I stood a 2 or 3% chance of winning. In which I shouldn't even been in court and no papers should have been sent. I was moving my mail was on hold. The certified mail I thought it was a lease to sign. Between moving and just learning my fiance was diagnosed with cancer I was overwhelmed. Now it's my belief one of two things happened? Perhaps they made a mistake on unit number? We know their not good with numbers. Or it was retaluation for a text I made when I didn't get gate access. 5 hrs later I get satellite issue. Recap...no signed lease, math error that caused this, they can not enter for 29 days by law. Multiple lies during the pandamic. By law they were suppose to let me know where motorcycle is.not even a phone call? Really? I emailed owner not one word back. This is how they treat a 13 year $25,000 customer???? ... Read more

I rent a unit at the Rush City location and I was locked out of my unit due to a bill paid late. I was told it would take 72 hours for me to get back into the unit, but the care taker for this unit went out of his way to drive over and unlock my unit on the same day. Very much appreciated!! ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 860 South Bremer Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 60 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 860 South Bremer Avenue start from $75 and can go up to $256 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
