What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1720 North Washington Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Go somewhere else! Spent 7 months too long here. This place is always a pain. Doors are always broken so it is always a challenge getting in AND OUT of the building. Trash is everywhere. It’s always super grimy and smells like smoke. Unit rent increases on a monthly basis. Cherry on top, Public Storage will not refund your rent (only asking for a prorated refund) after move out on the 2nd day of the month. Only positive things I can say is that Kitt was nice and made move out a breeze. Not worth your time or money, better options around. ... Read more

Michelle at Public Storage is an absolute pro. As the head property manager, she made the process seamless from the start, taking the time to understand what we needed as a national business and then walking us through the right units with confidence. Jim, who oversees two other locations, matched Michelle’s energy and professionalism. He gave us clear options that made sense for our business and ensured we had everything we needed to make a smart decision. Shuaw also went out of his way, driving more than an hour and a half to assist us. His effort showed a level of commitment and care that is rare. All three were knowledgeable, friendly, and focused on solving problems quickly. If you are serious about finding the right space, Michelle, Jim, and Shuw aw are the reason to work with Public Storage. ... Read more

Me and my vehicle are currently locked inside this location waiting for the fire department to arrive. It has been two hours and maybe 85 degrees in here. They fail to warn you that you can't even exit one minute after closing time. Also some fun fire code problems like bolting a fire exit shut as seen in the photo. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1720 North Washington Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1720 North Washington Avenue start from $27 and can go up to $271 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
