I had a car in storage (among other misc household items), parked since 2022. The car was used in the summer months only, so it was stored for the winter roughly October 2023. When I showed up in June 2024, I discovered the unit had been broken into. The lock was not cut, which leads me to believe it was picked. All my stuff had been rummaged through and the radio in my car was stolen but fortunately the car itself was still there. I pulled all my stuff out that week and cancelled my service. The SROA agent notified me that I had purchased the additional theft insurance, so I proceeded to get a police report (who told me on the phone there is a lot of break ins at this location since the gate doesn't always work). I went through all the steps, providing pictures, police report, and documentation of the stolen items. I later received a letter later from their claims department that said since the lock wasn't cut, and there was no other evidence of a forced entry, they are denying my claim. It's laughable, but what can I do. They have security cameras but I'd be shocked if they even work. I do not recommend putting anything in storage at this location, and if you do, I would be very cautious to put anything with any real value here. Judging by the google reviews alone, this place has a history of theft. ... Read more

I asked for a portion back of my money back since we're paying nearly $130 a month for a "secure facility." Does it look secure? With the gate open 9 months (which you can see from the road), of course the units were broken into. ... Read more

This place is a rip off. There has not been a working gate since around mid winter and now nearly everyone's units have been broken into. Better yet when they called to let me know that my unit may have been broken into since they noticed there wasn't a lock they lied to me and said "it doesn't look like they disturbed anything." Then I get there and half the boxes are knocked over. Also they said they were working on "upgrading the software" and that's why there hasn't been a working gate--there is still no working gate 9 months later--all the other SROA places in nearby towns have working gates all along. Don't lie to me. Now I am having trouble moving out and getting assurance that I am not going to be on the hook for more payments. (I have emptied my unit last week but I can't get anyone to confirm that I moved out.) There's no way to "unsubscribe" to their services. I have called to talk to someone twice but she notes she has to "escalate it" to have someone confirm that I have indeed moved out. But there's no one there--no office. This place is terrible. Oh did I mention that their doors don't seal so mice can get in easily? Or that there was standing water/ice that built up in front of my unit all winter so I always had to bring salt with to get it to thaw my garage door to get it to open since the snow would melt and freeze the door to the ground because there is a low spot in front of my unit? Horrible snow removal this last winter as well as there were sometimes a whole week after a snow that they didn't come. They wanted me to file a police report over my DVD player being taken and my children's car TVs getting taken but it wasn't worth my time to recover $100-$200. Glad to be done with them assuming they don't keep charging me for a unit that I already moved out of last week. If you try to rent here---look at the doors for all the units - you will see that they A) don't seal and B) have dents in the aluminum next to the locking mechanism on nearly every unit where people have been driving past their defective gate and snapping off locks and driving off with people's things. Everyone who drives by can see that the gate is wide open for 9 months. ... Read more

Horrible experience.I have rented my unit from July 2022-March 2023 (current). This entire winter the snow has been plowed up into the garage doors and has not been cleared. I have attempted to clear it myself but because of ice buildup it’s been tough. Because of the way the snow has been removed I have a solid .5 inches of ice covering my entire floor in my 25 ft unit. I called the local office and they put in a “ticket” for it. That was 25 days ago and I still have yet to hear anything. They also claim that the facility is “secured.” However the gate is almost always wide open when I come between 3-6 pm. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 17425 NW County Road 75 include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 432 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 17425 NW County Road 75 start from $33 and can go up to $162 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
