Read some helpful reviews of Gopher State Storage at 315 Cleveland Street South, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Unit was broken into sometime over the past few weeks. Called and the guy couldn't have cared less. They only have cameras at the entrance (because the cop who called me said this is the 2nd time in the past 4 weeks of a reported robbery and they don't use cameras in the aisles so good luck trying to find who did it) super nice of them to not give security any importance and not letting the rest of the units know there of the other robbery so they could check on their units. I strongly suggest going somewhere that uses better security ... Read more

Update - Changing to 3 stars as they did reach out to me to resolve the issue and were apologetic for the problem. I still think it should be easier to do a move out and the requirements should be very specific and clear on the lease agreement, including the exact methods by which to end the lease and the move out procedures. No where in the agreement is it listed that a picture of the cleaned unit was a requirement, and apparently sending written notice via email on their own website is insufficient as well. Gave notice at the end of April, was charged for May which I can understand due to needing a 10 day notice. However now I'm still being charged in June despite sending images of a cleaned out unit (cleaner than I received it btw) back in April. Unit also had severe water intrusion as well despite being a new facility. The owner needs to do the right thing here and refund for June and stop charging my card fraudulently. To be clear I emailed without receiving a response and then texted asking how to cancel and move out, they replied that I simply needed to send a pic of my cleaned out unit which I did literally 2 minutes later because I was there at the time. ... They were absolutely awesome. The manager came by while my daughter and I were trying to figure out how to unload the huge dining room china cabinet from the U-Haul. He and the guy with him offered to help and we got everything moved into the storage unit quickly and efficiently. Thank you so much! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Gopher State Storage - 315 Cleveland Street South include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Kiosk Available, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
