Honestly extremely disappointed here. I was told verbally by staff that my unit door would be locked with one of their own locks for security since the original storage unit lock wasn't working/ has a defect and that I would receive a call with the lock code once it was done. None of that happened.. So I came to the unit myself cause I never received a call. What seemed to be a temporary lock was placed, but my unit door still opened. It's fine for a temporary lock to be there but for my garage door to still open? That's just wild. And worse, I was never informed that my unit was left unsecured, even though staff knew the lock on the unit door did not work. Instead of securing my belongings as promised, I called and they only "submitted a ticket" for someone to fix it the next day in the morning at 9:30AM (is what they told me over the phone) leaving my property completely vulnerable overnight. It's now the morning of the next day, I had to leave work early to come and check on my unit and there's still not a lock on my unit. It was 11:10AM when I left the unit so almost 2 hours have passed since the estimated time they said this would get fixed. I had to leave work to come check my unit out since I'm not being updated at all, just to come and see that it’s left the exact same way it was yesterday. I called the customer service line, AGAIN, and asked to talk to a manager and the manager was probably one of the worst “managers” I’ve ever spoke to in my life. The manager on the phone didn’t even let me finish what I was saying and sounded as if he didn’t even want to speak to me. I asked him what we can do about this situation and he says, "thank you for calling public storage, have a good day" and immediately hangs up the call. With absolutely no rudeness behind my voice, this is how they treat their customers? Let alone, this is a MANAGER? This is who people are making managers nowadays? Absolutely ridiculous. I hate complaining, or worse, leaving negative reviews, that's one of the things I do least. I don’t think I’ve ever in my life left a negative review to anyone or anywhere. I understand how stressful it can be to resolve a customers complaint but this is a serious failure to protect a customers belongings and shows a lack of basic responsibility. I want to shoutout the employee there who’s trying her best to help me out but if that thing I have in my garage had been stolen, or is stolen, it would have been entirely preventable. I trusted these staffs’ words, and that trust was broken. ... Read more

It's my first time getting a storage unit. The lady that helped me was super nice and grear at explaining everything. She showed me the unit I would be renting and it was great. She made the process quick easy and painless. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2000 Old County Road 34th Place start from $43 and can go up to $288 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
