Bought/won an auction unit through Storage Treasures. All went well with that. The unit I bought was a bust. All good with that. After I finalized the unit I won an offer came through for a free unit. Upon attempting to claim the free unit I was told by Public Storage employees the unit was cleaned out and I wasn't getting anything. I was also told that's the way Public Storage does business. I was also informed I could only clear the locker I won during regular business hour 9-4 and I had 48 hours to clear the unit. I have never had restrictions set upon me as Public Storage has. Worst storage place to take your loved belongings. First off there isn't cameras inside their facility. So criminals come and go as they please. Within 6 months my unit was broken into, my vehicle had two tires replaced and their auto pay works when it wants to. Four months straight there was no place to park due to dumpsters being placed in customer parking. Debris, nails, glass and more scattered the parking lots and wasn't picked up until many complaints later. Still isn't picked up. When asked how I can fix my app, I was told I couldn't and that I had to enter the facility to set up new auto pay. Well I work 12 hours a day. So when I couldn't make it to set up I person, I was told they couldn't wave my late fee which is half of my bill. When they don't offer a HR representative to fix my app problems. Between being stolen from and having to move buildings because my unit door was bent and locks cut, I was charged to move buildings? When I didn't have a choice int the matter. The building I moved too, had a dumpster blocking half the parking spots for almost 4 months, and the rest of the parking spots had debris, nails, screws, and glass covering them. Even parking on the side of the building I still managed to get two flat tires. Then my app starts acting up and won't let me change my visa card but it's my responsibility to come in person and set up auto pay. When I can't make it in time, I am told that there nothing they can do? What a joke for a place. No wonder why they've had 3 new district manager within the past 6 months. Roaches. Trash. So much trash. I rented a unit and came back a couple hours to put my stuff in. Was greeted with live and dead roaches and within those couple hours someone emptied their unit and trash was EVERYWHERE. They don't post hours on the front door and there is no after hour place to call. They push you to do everything online without speaking to people. I came back next day. They refunded some of my money but some of it I have yet to hear back from them. Garbage customer service. The lady who did my refund was very nice and told me they have a pest control place come out EVERY TWO WEEKS!! That's wild that they come out so often and still have issues. Rent at your own risk. I came in to inquire about renting a 10x10 unit thinking it should be big enough, after explaining what kind of stuff I would be storing Elaine showed me how big it was and I realized that her recommendation for a 10x15 was the logical way to go. At first I thought she was trying to upsell like any "sales person" but I was wrong, she genuinely was being honest, there's no way I could fit everything in the smaller unit.
