Do NOT deal with this company. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. It has been almost 3 months since we moved out of the storage unit. It was spotless and I took pictures. I was told that they would send the deposit but it can be up to 30 days. I’ve called every 3 weeks and always get the run around and told they are “ busy”. Who isn’t?!? They are rude and not at all helpful. They basically STOLE from me and they don’t care. TERRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!! Save yourself money and frustration. GO ELSEWHERE ( They finally called and said due to unit left “filthy” that we won’t get deposit back…. I SWEPT AND MOPPED IT!!!! Months ago they said they already Sent It! So they are also LIARS!!!!!! Photos below are before we rented and after. ... Read more

JnJ STORTHIEVES! Not storage. I rented unit for two years. The units are clean the owners are not. Dirty thieves. I paid on time every month. Notified them a month early when leaving. Never received the deposit back. After getting the runaround by the "staff". I was told the unit was dirty and they were keeping my money. I have pictures of the unit in clean condition after move out. (image attached)... Do not do business with these crooks unless you are ok with being taken advantage of. ... Read more

The hours of operation are a bit off and I really think they should allow customers longer access hours (as work doesn't allow for their time frame) but the grounds are nicely paved, units are clean and dry, they are good sized for the price. My experience with J and J is still great. ... Read more

The units themselves are deccent and clean.. however the owner is rude, derogatory, assuming and I would not recommend doing bussiness with them. Twice in my 4 years of rental my storage unit was broken into.. neither time did I receive a call from them. When going to empty my unit I discovered a red lock. When I spoke to the owner he accused me of not paying without ever looking. Once he did, he advised me it was broken into... when I asked why I was never contacted he said to ask a different employee and was vulgar and combative in his responses.. awful human being will never use again should I need storage. ... I don’t get on here and put any business on blast but I was blantently lied to about the terms of my rental unit. We got the unit on the 28th of August paid for the 3 days of use. Talked to the gentlemen and agreed I wouldn’t need the unit but for about 2-3 weeks. We agreed that I could just let him know when I decide to empty the unit and he would just prorate my few weeks instead of paying in full on sept.1st and then having to go back and refund the unused time. I decided to empty the unit 18 days into the stay and he locked my unit for unpaid rent and then charged me a late fee and an extra dollar a day for the 18 day stay. This is very unprofessional and I will definitely be letting everyone on my social media know what kind of business they do here. ... Read more

I've had my storage unit since March 2021. In May I paid 3 days late because it was the weekend so I turned my monthly payment in on the 3rd of may. They ended up putting a red lock on my unit, BEFORE the 7 days. I have been constantly trying to get ahold of the owner by phone, showing up to both locations.. I Do NOT recommend this storage unit. Go somewhere else so they don't streal your entire life. My stuff is still in there with the red lock on it with all my reciptes for every month I've rented a unit. Don't waste your time! ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at J-J Storage - 2220 South 13th Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
