Let me say this...Beth is a superstar! If it weren't for her help I would have went elsewhere. She truly cares about customers and their issues. Not only did she help me with my issue she followed up not once but twice to ensure things were taken care of. She is definitely more than asset to this company. Miss. Beth thank you for all that you do for your customers! ... Read more

I haven't rented from here in a while but I am an avid storage unit auction attendees. It's nice when you show up somewhere and the same people still work there. I needed a little extra time and was given such without hesitation largely due to our longstanding history of working together. I just had a similar incident at U-KNOW who. Where I was treated like it was my first time, a newbie ??, every time I go there it's a new manager a new assistant manager and I don't recognize nobody on the floor. So that Public storage has been able to retain the same people for years on end - they must treat their people right. And that's good to know, because you know directly who your dollar affects. And that the employees must see a future there because they actually care about their job, and see others move upwards. How many times have you seen a position above you become available and it gets filled by somebody brought in from left field? Many thanks to Chris and Beth for holding it down and being foot on the ground, eye to eye good people who understand where your coming from. Although I didnt see them this time around , if Toms still around he ain't too bad a guy either. And Rachel - I hope you take over the whole shebang someday. ... Read more

Beth, the manager, was very attentive and kind. We asked to switch the unit we'd been assigned and she immediately looked for other options for us. She explained the whole process clearly and when we did switch units, she was efficient and the whole thing took a minute. The five stars were earned by her. The place itself is OK. It's all wood and the cement floor is not new or in top shape. But it served our purpose and the price was excellent. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4816 North Grand River Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 600 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4816 North Grand River Avenue start from $47 and can go up to $551 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
