MAJOR UPDATE: Management Stepped Up for This Veteran REVISED RATING: ????? (5 Stars) UPDATE (May 2026): I am updating my previous review because the leadership at this location truly listened. After expressing my concerns as a disabled Veteran, I had the opportunity to speak with the property manager, the district manager, and the local staff. They were incredibly gracious and empathetic to my situation. And they recognized that a 52% increase was unsustainable and worked with me to adjust the rate. This new rate reflects a fairer increase, and helps removes some financial anxiety I was facing. It is rare to find a corporation that empowers its managers to do the right thing for the individual, but the team here did exactly that. I am beyond grateful for their help and for the respect they showed me. If you are a Veteran or a long-term tenant, know that the people running this specific location actually care. Thank you to the management team for having my back! Special Thanks to Property Manager Keli you’re a Rockstar and her staff And shot out to District Manger Brandon ........................................... 52% Increase in 2 Years—Predatory Hikes Facing a Disabled Veteran ?Rating: ? (1 Star) ?I am a disabled Veteran on a fixed income, and Public Storage’s pricing model is a textbook "bait and switch." Since 2024, I have been hit with back-to-back annual increases of 26% and 21%, resulting in a total rent hike of over 52% in just two years. ?As a Veteran on a fixed income, these aggressive jumps are not just "market adjustments"—they are predatory. The company exploits the fact that moving is physically and financially difficult for disabled individuals, effectively holding our belongings hostage. They lure you in with a low rate, then use "Existing Customer Rate Increases" to squeeze you for every dime once you are settled. ?The "Objection Discounts" they offer are just a temporary delay to an inevitable 52% surge that outpaces any cost-of-living adjustment I receive. This practice causes immense anxiety and forces those who served into a corner where we risk losing everything we own to corporate greed. ... Read more

Haven’t had this storage unit a full year yet, I recently went to get some thing out of the unit and realized I’m missing a lot of stuff, thousands of dollars worth GONE! Iv literally been paying every month just to get my belongings stolen. It makes me sick. This place doesn’t even deserve one star. If you want to keep your belongings i highly suggest staying far away from this place. ... Read more

Roaches crawling around building 4 near 4003 unit that I looked in water damage in another unit in building 3 which is wood inside I spoke with someone on phone from another property and she was very helpful she was contacting me to help with reservation and was on phone with her due this ordeal and said she would contact property in flint but when I called this morning and spoke with actual property manager he hadn’t heard from anyone regards to this. He supposedly tried all he could to accommodate me but at the end I was not happy with service at all and canceled reservation in which I was told I won’t be getting my payment of $30 back well my bank will not be processing that. I asked if I proceeded to rent through them that once I picked my belongings up and found that my stuff had any evidence of roaches or pests that I would just file a insurance claim I was told that he would have to let them know that I was aware of roaches and that if I was to file a claim it would not go through. That’s crazy! Stay away from this place go to national storage in Burton much cleaner and cheaper ... Read more

So glad to be paying almost $200 a month for my things to be ruined in a “climate controlled” unit. This place is absolute garbage. The gate is constantly open for anyone to get in. Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2325 South Dort Hwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
