My experience is different than all of these positive posts. I live in Florida and didn’t want to move everything when we left Naples 5 years ago. We originally paid $69 a month I believe. It went up to $89, then $112 and recently it was to go to $146 a month. At this point it was worth flying up to move to another place. My unit was 5x10 climate controlled. When I arrived yesterday at 10:30 I missed the driveway because it wasn’t plowed. I didn’t need a gate code because the gate was broken. With the approximately 2 inches of snow the U-Haul got stuck when I tried to turn it around. I called Customer Service and was told the manager and regional manager would be contacted. I was able to back down the hill and get enough speed to get back up the hill. The door code wasn’t needed because it was broken and opened. Fortunately we had a shovel so we cleared some of the snow out. 5 years ago they had a couple decent carts to move items in. This is what they had yesterday. ?? I think it was a good facility at one point but I’m not sure what the extra rent paid for. No plowing, broken front gate, broken climate controlled door, a worthless cart. I have moved out so it doesn’t really matter at this point but 24 hours later no contact was made. I didn’t take a picture of the broken gate. I’m not sure if they continued to raise my unit rent because I lived in Florida but it seems reasonable. Renter beware. ... Read more

I had the pleasure of talking with Juan from customer support at KO Storage today, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I reached out, Juan was incredibly patient and attentive, taking the time to understand my issue thoroughly. Not only did he provide clear and helpful guidance, but he also went above and beyond to assist me in getting a credit applied to my account. His professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out. It's rare to encounter someone who genuinely cares about helping customers, and Juan is definitely one of those gems. Thank you, Juan, for making this experience so positive! KO Storage is lucky to have you on their team. Highly recommend reaching out to him for any support needs! ... Read more

My phone call with Victor Sanchez on October 3, 2024, was very good. Victor was understanding, patient, and helpful. He offered to check into lowering the unit price for me but I had already rented another storage space. Victor was excellent. ... Read more

Update: District manager called 6/25 and said he never saw any communication from me prior to this. This is not true. My original google review was in March. Another tactic ~ wanted to allow me another platform to voice my concerns. I have voiced them way more than I should of had to with no results! Clearly KO storage doesn't really care if they get bad reviews. I mean really how many times should you have to explain what happened to maybe be compensated just a little??? Rental went up $55 with no notice. I called and they said 30 day notice as mailed which is not true. Do not recommend this place. I will start from the beginning of renting a unit at KO Storage in Windham Maine. I rented a outside unit and day one the door would not close so the manage Janelle at the time moved me into a inside unit. I was still paying the outside unit price for a 10X10. I believe in January I got my email receipt for the unit and $184 dollars was charged instead of the $129. So I called and was told I received a 30 day notice which I did not but even if I had I was in Florida and would not have been able to move out. So I had to suck up a $55 a month increase in rent. I got back to Maine in May and gave my 30 day notice and was told I was all set and if I got a text saying I owed a bill to disregard. I got a text and thought I better double check. Good thing because when I gave my notice it was the day before the payment would of been made and the person I spoke to cancelled my auto pay!! So again, if I hadn't called I probably would of had to pay 2 more months. I called and spoke to a Lynn about this who was the only one to listen to my story.. she contacted a supervisor about compensation and the supervisor said if I stayed they would give me 50% off for 2 months!! I praise Lynn for trying. As for the cleanliness of the place I have seen cleaner. There were spots on the floor from the time I moved in and still there when I moved out. I wouldn't rent from this place if they were the only storage place in town. No compassion and didn't even want to listen. Also as for the supervisor or someone that was going to call me about this matter NEVER happened. Sad but true! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 964 Roosevelt Trail include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 964 Roosevelt Trail start from $55 and can go up to $212 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
