Paul was incredibly generous with his time today, as I had lost my glasses while closing up my unit, and was way past the 12 noon closing time. He stayed on until I found my glasses in the last box I packed, saving me from driving without them. Thank you Paul. ... Read more

Noyes ticked every box I needed for my car storage. Locates centrally and staff is very friendly specially Paul who took extra steps to meet my need as I was in a rush to travel. What stood out for me is when I needed to have my car shipped, I didn't give them heads up and it was near impossible to have the car ready since that needed a lot of cars to be moved around. I offered Hendrick extra money to have it done because If I don't get the car now, I will not get any other way of having it shipped for a long time. They understood my situation They got my car ready and refused to take any money from me even when I insisted. Special thanks to Hendrick who had my car ready after his shift was over and would not accept anything. I will definitely use them again in the future and recommend them highly ... Read more

Moved into a unit here mid-month, and moved out only a few weeks later. Paul was wonderful and very helpful, he walked us around to find the best unit available and explained the fee structure very well (it can be confusing). Facilities are great and the loading dock is accessible! ... Read more

Location is easily accessible (although the short road to it is bumpy with cobblestones). A flag flies outside to signal when they are open. Unloading or loading vehicles is also easy. Building is well heated and lit. Many size options for storage units. Costs are reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful (and leaves you alone if you don't need help). ... Read more

I would give them a zero if I could! I stored my stuff with them a few years ago during and move and they were great but this business has gone seriously downhill. They have a ridiculous reservation policy (if you could call it a policy, I'm still not clear on what it is since they told me multiple different things) that is not flexible if you are planning a move. I wanted to support a local business and go back to vendor I had previously worked with, but no way am I ever trying to work with these people again! Consumer be warned! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Noyes Self Storage - 93 Kennebec Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted and Multi-Level Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
