We've been using this marina for a lot of years but have noticed it's becoming run down. The owners and staff a really nice people so I hope they start to maintain the docks and slips better. My only other issue is that other boats keep taking our slip that we've had for years. This has become a real problem for us so hopefully my email to the owners will rectify the situation. ... I bought my boat from the brokerage. I have had work done by the yard. I have had a personal crisis averted by the staff. What more can you say about a full service boating center that cares more about it's customers than it does about making every penny it can. The marina is clean and well cared for. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The deli store on the hill is one of the best sandwiches in the area. I live in the SF Bay area and am used to the boat community here. I was not prepared for how nice and genuine the staff and people would be. They remind me of why I got into boating. I am moving my boat south and wish I could package the entire Marina and it's staff with me. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Ocean Point Marina - 216 Ocean Point Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Parking, Enclosed and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
