Wow, very pleased with the customer service provided by the girl behind the desk. She walked me down to the units and they are very spacious and fantastic for the price. Great space for storing my work truck, my power tools and other things I dont have room for at home, etc. They also have a great space for trailers and RVs. The paperwork was fast and easy, this place is 10000x better pricing, faster service and much better space. Employees are very nice and helpful... Id definitely suggest coming here instead of the horrible experience we had at “New Market Mini (or should I say TINY) Storage”. It’s easy in and out with a coded gate. Slap a strong lock on your unit and call it a day. Anyone who rated this place less than 5 stars is probably angry that businesses have RULES and REGULATIONS, and have issues that they cant follow or control the rules themselves. To those people, I have some advice, Go down the road to the McDonalds, Buy a Big Mac and choke on it while you go drive down to new market tiny storage and realize that they don’t even come close to competing with the customer service, pricing, space, security, and freedom that you will find at Self Storage. ... The lady at the front desk got us to sign a contract under false pretense, ensuring we could store two vehicles in a single parking spot. Turned in the paper work to a gentleman in the office who said we couldn't store the vehicles. The old man was very rude and unwilling to discuss it further. We took our business down the street to the other, more professional, storage unit in New Market. Also, next to the auto-gate is an unlocked entrance that anyone can simply walk through to access parked vehicles and storage units. Don't see this place staying in business much longer under the current management. ... Read more

I have used many storage places in the past 10 years, and Self Storage of New Market is by far the best one. I've been renting with them for a few years now, and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff are caring and helpful. The facility is nice, clean, and well maintained. There is ample lighting in the buildings, making it very easy to see when you're digging through the back of your unit. It really is such a nice place, and it is run by kind and friendly people. ... So this place advertises their storage units for certain prices but when you go there they charge you more than their advertised prices. When I confronted the female working the desk that her price was higher than what’s advertised on their website she told me that the owner wrote those prices and they didn’t understand what units cost. No idea how a random employee sets the prices for rental units. Pretty sure it’s false advertising at the least. And the only type of climate control this place has it that there it a roof and 4 “walls” around your stuff. Just got a notice that they are raising the rent on our storage unit by $25 a month in 32 days. Do not use this storage facility!!!!!! I notice that the storage facility responded. Notice that it has been months later. So let’s get I to the weeds of business. Firstly, what kind of person tries to blame the person updating the website for wrong prices? That right there would make anyone running the business look even more incompetent. Secondly, if you know the prices are wrong why don’t you change them? Because most people will buy a product if they are already in the store even if the product is a different price. This was considered an elegant practice in the 70’s and 80’s and still is, is called a bait and switch tactic. Thirdly, your storage units only have walls and a door. There is a two foot gap between the top of the wall and the ceiling. Not exactly secure. And finally, climate control means just that. The climate is controlled and it is not +/- 23 degrees. So now this place has instituted their late fee policy. They access these fees on the 6th and then call on the 7th. Once again they are taking advantage of people during the pandemic. ... Read more

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
