Michaela was a gem! Very helpful and even offered to another size once I told her how much I was storing. I only came in to inquire but left informed if a when I decided to make my final decision! Great leadership and the location was clean as well too ... Read more

Signed up for storage at $195 per month, which they honored for 3 months then raised the fee to $325, while still advertising it as $195. When I complained they said they had the right to raise it to whatever they want. They obviously have you in a difficult spot once you’ve gone through the effort and money to transport your belongings there, so they advertise a low rate knowing they will jack up the fees. ... I have had a space there for awhile. Climate control is not really controlled-hot in the summer and cool in the winter. Floors are dirty for months. Front desk is often unmanned even during Saturday prime time. Rent consistently goes up. Bathroom is always broken. They will also put their public storage stickers on your personal locks- outright attempt at theft. Never enough carts. Relatively safe area so good enough to put up with bad management until the rent gets too high and makes moving your belongings to another place beneficial. One of the front doors is usually left open so not as secure as you’d think. ... Read more

The elevators stopped working last Saturday so you can't access your storage unit on the upper levels. Every day it takes a while to get hold of someone for an update about when the elevators will be working again, and every time I'm told it's a priority and will be fixed that day. And then I drive over to get my stuff but they are still not working and no-one is around. This is day 5. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do if they aren't fixed by Friday - my movers are coming to retrieve the heavy items from the unit and they will not be willing to carry it down 3 flights of stairs. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5423 Butler Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 5423 Butler Road start from $88 and can go up to $439 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
