Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 480 Centre Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I came in today and was greeted by one of your employees. Greg was VERY helpful with my move-in as I had never been to your facility and the original unit I selected was too small. He was very knowledgeable and assisted me with an upgrade. The transaction was seamless and effortless. I would recommend your facility to others. Thank you, ... Read more

We moved out of Go Store It this past weekend. When we first rented here, the facility was fairly new and everything felt clean, organized, and well maintained. We were among the first renters, and in the beginning the climate control, security, and overall environment felt stable and reliable. Unfortunately, over the past three and a half years the facility has gone through a steady decline, and this past year things became genuinely horrible. Anyone considering this facility should proceed with extreme caution. Although the units are advertised as climate controlled, the building no longer felt consistently regulated. Over time we noticed areas that were warm, humid, and at other times unusually cold. It was nothing like the stable conditions we experienced when we first moved in, and it made us question how well the climate control system was actually being maintained. The biggest issue by far was the rodent activity. We found mouse droppings throughout the building, including inside our unit and on our belongings. We ended up losing a couch and several other items because of the damage. A storage facility is supposed to protect your property, not expose it to contamination and pests. Safety also became a real concern. On multiple visits we encountered people in the building in situations that did not appear consistent with normal storage use. One day we found a person passed out in the hallway. We reported it immediately and were told someone would follow up, yet no one ever contacted us. No call, no explanation, no acknowledgment. That lack of response says a lot about how serious issues are handled here. During our time as renters, the price skyrocketed. We started paying 226 dollars in 2022, and by the time we moved out the rent had risen to 445 dollars. That is a 97 percent increase in just three and a half years, with absolutely no improvement in the conditions. In fact, the facility was at its worst during the period of highest pricing. Given the extent of the rodent activity and the lack of follow up on documented safety concerns, we are considering reaching out to the City of Quincy’s Health Department. This is not to get anyone in trouble, but because other customers deserve a safe and sanitary facility. At the very least, I believe it would be reasonable for management to review our account and acknowledge the impact these conditions had on our belongings and on our overall experience. Basic operations also deteriorated. The elevator was frequently out of service, and you could almost never find a dolly when needed. For the amount they charge, these issues should not be constant. The only positive aspect of this facility is Greg, who works at the front desk. He is professional, respectful, and genuinely tries to help. It is clear he is doing the work of multiple people and doing everything he can without adequate support. None of the facility’s issues reflect on him. They reflect on poor management and the overall decline of the operation. We moved out today because the conditions simply became unacceptable. Rodents, safety concerns, unreliable equipment, no follow up on serious reports, and a nearly 100 percent price increase over three and a half years made it impossible to justify staying. Based on everything we personally experienced, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. If you are already renting here, check your belongings carefully and consider moving out as soon as you can. Until Go Store It makes real improvements to cleanliness, safety, staffing, and basic maintenance, customers should be extremely cautious. ... Read more

DO NOT RENT HERE! They increased rent 2 times in calendar year 2025 ($290 > $400 > $782). When you need assistance, The whole business is run on a AI voice assistant, that will either rent you a unit, help you pay, or have someone call you back (they don’t). Why would you need help? Because the unit doors/motor doesn’t work so you get locked out, or your unit has dead rodents and your personal items are covered in mouse droppings, or you have questions on why your rent went up 2-3x. I just got charged $953, waiting for the manager to call me since October. Moved out, turned in key, just waiting to speak regarding the rates. Just don’t go here, it isn’t worth it and you will regret it ... Read more

Price can’t be beat. Clean enough and definitely safe for your belongings. They included a lock and key with the unit which is helpful and makes the move in and move out process very straightforward. I just wish the person in the office responded more promptly to help but they are pretty efficient with phone response. ... Read more

Im definitely not the person who leaves reviews to often but having been with several storage units I can tell you that Go Store at the Quincy location is by far the very best! This starts with the Manager Greg who is as professional and helpful as I have ever met. Greg was available and willing to help in anyway we need. We hope Greg will be managing for years to come and appreciate his help and the quality and care that he puts into maintaining a top shelf storage facility. Thank you Greg and Go Store you've been outstanding! ... Read more

This place is very horrible storage. I just transferred to this storage about two months with 10x10 unit $146 , not even couple months that this place raised $298 after 2 months rented. It's such scam. Also, I called them and nobody pick up phone , neither reply by email. It took them a week to have someone respond back. He told me offering the rate $160 to keep me continuously renting. And then, I got an email posting a new rate $298. ???? My unit got rat ??, I saw many rat poop. It's so dirty! ... Read more

Don’t say I didn’t warn you, run from this place. This is by far the worst storage facility EVER. Literally no one works here, no one at all. I’ve been here several times in the past 2 months and not once has there been an employee available. Front doors are always locked with no one working. No one ever answers the phone either. The place is filthy and smells horrible. Trash all over the place. They never have any carts available, don’t waste your money here so not worth it. Then they’ll email you that they are upping the rate $150 on your unit after being with them for a month. They are a scam it’s honestly laughable. ... Read more

I do not believe the 5 * reviews. I have spoken to so many of the tenants and the opinion seems unanimous that they are the worst storage option available. Expect all of the following: 50% price hikes every 3 months, with only 1 week notice. Expect to get assigned units not even close to the contract. Wrong floor and wrong dimensions by a long shot. Completely unavailable support. Online, in-person, and phone support all simply don't exist. And have not for a long time. Absolutely disgusting. There are so many mice flooding the place. Mouse poop, pee, and dead bodies are everywhere. There are obvious units that are the source of the problem, but nothing is done. At any given point in time at least 1 door and 1 elevator is broken. The area is not secured because the doors are broken and permanently open, but somehow accessing your unit is difficult because only 1 elevator works. There is only 1 cart for moving items. For a place with 1200 units. And that 1 cart has a broken wheel. Some people bring untrained dogs on premises and they absolutely chase and bite people. There is a sign on the front door that indicates people are not allowed inside the office because it's so unsanitary that it has become a health hazard and has been this way since July 2024. None of these problems are new. They've all been like this for at least the past year. ... Read more

Second Update: I ended my lease (obviously), provided written notice as required, AND THEY FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR THE NEXT MONTH! THIS COMPANY WILL STEAL FROM YOU, DO NOT RENT HERE. Update: still awful, worse than ever maybe. 9 days have passed since my original review. The elevator is still broken. There is still trash all over the place. The back door is still wide open and the front door handle is broken. Nobody contacted me, despite the company's reply to this comment. This location is basically a predatory, dishonest business that will take your money and not provide the services they promise, with no accountability whatsoever. The only recourse you have is to NEVER RENT HERE, PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS WARNING!! Original Review: This place is so bad I don't think it should legally be allowed to call itself a secure storage facility. All they need to offer is access, security, and cleanliness. This place has none of those. Check out the photos! When I came in this morning the elevator was broken. So I had to haul my stuff down the stairs. But the stairwell was full of junk. Can't use the elevator, can't use the stairs. How are people supposed to get to their unit? There was also a dead mouse on the floor. Then when I returned later in the day, the back door was wide open with no one around, and the front door handle had been broken, so basically anyone could just walk in. Again this place is unclean, not secure, and inaccessible. It is nothing except awful. If you have any alternative whatsoever please go elsewhere for your storage needs. Do not give them your money. ... Read more

Avoid at all costs. I notified them a week ago that there is a broken elevator and trash everywhere. I am also unable to get items in or out of my unit as there are two dead mice directly outside of it, in addition to a literal carpet of mice excrement. There is supposed to be a manager on site five days a week, but we have never seen anyone there during the business hours. A week later, they still have not cleaned the excrement up, and there is now a stench from the dead mice, who have decomposed in the hot and unventilated facility. I see from a previous review that I am not the only person who has reached out to them in the past week regarding the broken elevator and dead mice. Multiple calls to their customer service have been made, with assurances that things will be taken care of. Nothing has been done and we are still unable to access our unit. *Updated to add* Despite the response from the business below, I have yet to receive any communication from them via phone or email, four days later. I was also promised a call from the regional manager “within an hour” on Monday morning. It is currently Thursday evening and I’m still waiting. ... Read more

Reserved a rental online and was never sent a gate code. Spent a day trying to get the gate code from customer service. No one ever answered the phone, no one is ever in the physical office. They took my money and it was impossible to get a hold of someone to get a gate code. I was finally able to get someone via the chat function after telling the AI that I was going to file a police report. I was able to cancel my unit and request a refund, hopefully it comes through. I wouldn’t bother with this place. Prices are cheap but I wasn’t even able to move my stuff in before the headaches started. ... Read more

I went to the facility after paying for a unit online. It was difficult getting an access code for the facility as the staff weren’t always present in the office. Upon arriving to the unit, it was in terrible condition. Clearly no one has been monitoring or cleaning these units. My unit had trash and items from a previous tenant. I was told I would receive a refund as I never used the unit and have not received one weeks later. I wouldn’t waste your time or money getting a unit here. ... Read more

Didn’t receive gate access code, QR code posted on the door led me to a non-functional system. Doors were locked during business hours. Take your business elsewhere, as I will. Waste of time. EDIT: Services were never rendered as I never received a gate access code. I received multiple avenues of them attempting to bill me for an unusable unit. I responded to all of them that I won’t be paying. I received a phone call on a Sunday when they’re closed, so I couldn’t talk to a representative. Weird. It’s almost like they do that on purpose. Hmmm…. The office has never been open. There’s usually a customer looking confused on their stoop. I just received a text stating how there’re multiple ways to cancel the unit. Oh, wow…really? It’s almost like I’d tried them each. Get bent. ... Read more

They post a rate online and then up the rate exponentially after three months ($49 went to $79 and $89 went to $149) This happened to me twice with two different units. In addition, the hours posted are incorrect and they are not actually in office on Mondays. When it snowed, they did not clear the back entrance at all, making it very difficult to move things in and out. Would not recommend facility. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 480 Centre Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 480 Centre Street start from $32 and can go up to $393 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
