Do not use this mover! We downsized our home of 39 years and moved to a condo. While one third of our items were marked to go to to condo, the remaining two thirds went to a storage unit because the condo was going to be renovated. After renovation, we emptied to storage unit, unpacked and discovered our treasured albums of family photos, going back over 70 years, vacation photos and dvds of family were missing. How can a box of these items move from a house to a truck and never make it to its destination!!! i called the company agent who told me if anything was left on a truck it would come into the office. SO WHERE ARE OUR FAMILY PHOTO AND MOVIES??? These cannot ever be replaced and I consistently have sleepless nights about this. HOW DID THEY DISAPPEAR? ... Read more

We used Tobin and sons moving almost 3 years ago to move our house I have been in constant contact with them since the day of originating the contract. They hit my wife’s car with a moving truck. They damaged every wall and surface in our house by scuffing furniture against the damaging the furniture and the painting and the walls and even broke drywall in some areas. I have been in constant contact and repeatedly requested for them to send out an adjuster since day one and they have refused and never returned a phone call. They quoted a price and we paid more than double what was predicted and then of course they called back and said they hit traffic and there were additional charges so we paid almost 3 times what was called to us and they still have yet to fix any in all of the damages that they created to our house and refuse to contact us back. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs we had a second moving company in our area come in and do all of the work they did times three for $800 not $3800 plus they did not damage anything in the house. At this point we are waiting on a return phone call from them so we can process the claim but they have not gotten back to us despite 15 to 20 attempts to get a phone call back I’ve even spoken to the owner he said he would handle it on three different occasions and I’ve had zero phone calls in return ... Great experience! We worked with Rich Giordano. Movers arrived on time and packed house efficiently. We needed house emptied before buyers walked through and the movers finished on time. Movers were polite and pleasant. All of our stuff made it to the new house safely with no damage. We were very happy with our experience. Ask for Rich! ... Read more

I was moving from a house to an apt. Tobin movers came out gave me a quote that was very reasonable. They arrived on time. They wrapped the furniture and boxed the matress. The employees were very professional and courteous. I didn't have to lift a finger. They worked as a team and two and a half hours later they were all done. Tobin movers took the stress out of moving. I would recommend them. Top notch moving co. Paula ... Read more

We had a good experience with Tobin! Zack Newman And Brian Tobin were on time and very accessible during our move. The team that came to pack introduced themselves and were very professional as well as quick! Then on the moving-in day, it was the hottest day of the year and they just kept going...especially Bobby who was indefatigable! We would recommend these people for anyone. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Tobin-Sons - 39 Tozer Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
