An estimated 2,500$ worth of damages caused by a leak in their exterior units. We were promised a free month after the first time it flooded. The first flood estimated us 1,955$ in damages. After this most recent rain yesterday, I couldn't enter my unit because they put a missed payment padlock on my unit. The manager failed to give us the free month like he said he would. The lady at the desk fixed things for us and we saw that it flooded a second time, even worse. We were promised a different unit when available, but until then, everything we own will continue to ruin and we will continue to repeatedly and helplessly watch as it continues to get ruined. I am beyond devastated. I just moved back from Denver, Colorado and only had this unit a week before It flooded. We were so broke that we couldn't afford to get the insurance and because of that, they refused to compensate us for damages due to negligence of the quality of their units. They blame us instead for not getting insurance and turned their cheeks to us. Everything I worked hard for, things passed down to me that I cannot place a value on. Every pair of shoes I had is ruined. I couldn't be more devastated and this business couldn't make me feel more alone in this. They aren't willing to do anything for us. We had yet to sign the contract and they advertised the insurance in case of a possible break in, not in case of their negligence. ... Read more

They really tried, but I never got the rental, even after having a reservation. They passed off to Greg in Jonesboro, about 40 miles away. He should be giving swimming classes; Greg is a life saver. HA, HA, HA !. ... Read more

The best customer service.... The unbelievably kind and nice. If your old enough to remember How people in small towns with family run business treated their customers, by remembering their Christian name, cordially greeting them whether it was a simple phone call or chance encounter at a restaurant out of town (Lea’s in LaCount or LSU football game in BR.. or anyone of 100’s of Drive Inns that dotted the Louisiana landscape) It was a special comfort that business and it employees payed to the locals That cemented the community together, bonding it tightly in such a casual way no one even noticed, it was rudimentary oath That no one was ever ask and no ever swore to, it was just implied, especially in the deepest of Dixie... Thank to these find from folks That simple fate is still the part of deal ... no extra charge. Thank you Miss Leslie... you dear R the best... ... Read more

Moving to and now from Natchitoches, this temperature controlled facility was perfect for my items. I stored my belongings here for two years with zero issues or problems. They have after hours availability to your items which was great for being able to access items I needed at a moments notice. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Keep Safe Storage - 5841 Hwy 1 Byp include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
