Singularly horrible. When I first got the climate controlled unit, they charged me for a lock and left me one that didn't work with the key that was in it. The design/layout is poor. The main loading and unloading area is just inside the gate. There's no way for more than one person to have immediate access to the loading ramp. That means if someone is loading or unloading when you need to, you'll have to cart the items much further using one of the only 4 carts that they have. Quite a few times, the gate didn't work with the app. After 3 months, they increased my rate by $100 a month. Worst of all, and totally inexcusable is several times I was there the AC wasn't running and the humidity was extremely high. While unloading the boxes I had in storage, many of my things had mold on them. The pictures show how bad it is. ... Read more

Here are some things about this location I learned in my year here. 1. Staff: Their staff consists of a call box in the office that video calls someone to assist you with any issues. Hopefully, your problem can be fixed on a video call rather than by someone in person. I have seen reviews talking about people being there and helping. However, I never saw an employee in the year I used this location, and I went almost once every two to three weeks. 2. Cost: No matter what your rate starts at / whatever promotional rate you get, they will increase it over a few months, and it will keep rising. ALSO OF NOTE- when I got my unit at the promotional rate, it was behind a hallway door, so be mindful when getting a discounted rate, there's a reason why. 3. Facilities: Several times, the elevators were down, and they kept the stairs' door locked, so I was unable to access my unit. People jam things into the gated door lock so the "secured gate" is almost always accessible. The location also has a foul smell and is always unclean. Also, there were three carts for the entire location, so bring your own or hope no one else is there when you move things. 4. Monitoring: Someone was discovered living in one of the units, and as previously stated, I never saw an employee there in my year at the location. That should show you how monitored the location is. 5. Customer Service: Once, I had a billing issue with my promotional rate. I had to call another location because I couldn't get anyone on the phone for this location. When I called, the call would disconnect. I spent almost two hours on the phone before another location handled the issue for me. You can do what you want, but I strongly suggest using a better-monitored location with an on-duty staff. My parents used this storage years ago, so I chose it initially; however, on my first day, I discovered a lot had changed. I just moved out after a year and will never use this location again. ... Mr. Landry was extremely helpful with my questions. The facility is very clean and temperature controlled for inside units so very comfortable. Good security as well with the gated parking area for loading and unloading vehicles. The hand trucks are an important feature for convenience and are easily available close to the doorway. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2930 Clearview Pkwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2930 Clearview Pkwy start from $56 and can go up to $349 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
