To anyone interested in getting a storage here I highly recommend, I been with these guys over 3 years now and the work and Top Tier Customer Service that Keke and Shawna put in to make sure that all of your questions are fully answered and understood, the property is safely guarded and clean to make you and your items feel appreciated, they have helped me and others that I referred there so much with just basic knowledge and information to make sure you stay on top of your payments, I would have slipped up and been late so many times if it wasn’t for them make sure they call you to remind you that your upcoming bill is due, and I really appreciate them for all they service and understanding. ... Besides being slow to repair damages to the facility, they are not the most helpful people you could hope for. I don't expect much from a storage place -- working gates, operational doors, staff during posted hours -- but somehow this place managed to disappoint me. To make matters worse, they raise the rent drastically and often. I began renting at $65/month. Same unit, 3 years later, $135/month. Being that the place is in worse condition than when I moved in, I can't understand what they are doing with all that money. RUN, don't walk, away from this place. There are a lot more affordable and better maintained facilities in the neighborhood. UPDATE: after posting this review, public storage looked into my account information and called my cell to discuss this review. (I am still a tenant until the end of February) It was explained to me that the over 2-year old gate issue is a "vendor problem" of which they are aware; and that it is standard practice to raise rent with "market value." When asked how they can make it right, they could not reduce my rent to the $106 I was paying last month -- I didn't even ask for the going rate. The current posted rate on the website for my unit is $52/month (where they promise you can "lock in that price"), my March first bill shows rent at $135/month. When I signed up online in 06/2021, I "locked in" a rate of $65. They are now charging me, a tenant who has paid rent on time for 4 years, $83 more PER MONTH than a new customer. (see the attached photos as evidence, I usually don't trust negative reviews without receipts) They are not interested in customer retention. They assume that once you move in, you'll keep paying more to not have to move your stuff again. ... Read more

My mother was less than a month late on her storage rent because she was in ICU in critical condition. The only call she received about the storage being late, was a call telling her they were going to sell her stuff. Which took her out of rehab and put her back into the hospital. I have records and proof she is in the hospital and has been since Christmas day 2024. They dont care. They will not waive any late fees. The managers and supervisors are also NOT able to help in any way with any thing. And if they dont want to listen to your side of things, they just hang up on you! Dont waste your money here!!! You can tell what type of business they are by looking at the reviews. They only respond to good reviews. They have no interest in even acknowledging their bad reviews. ... Read more

Ms. Dashauna was very helpful and walked me through the process of securing a unit online. She was quite patient; even showed me the units even if she knew that I may not be renting a unit at the location where she works. Thank you Ms. Dashauna! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5730 Citrus Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 5730 Citrus Blvd start from $42 and can go up to $511 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
