Read some helpful reviews of Osprey Storage at 141 South Killarney Lane, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

first of all we tried to rent a 10X20 and they gave us 2 10X10 units side by side. Which, whatever, we made it work. Then when it came time for us to move our stuff out we tried to move one unit out and close it but because they had it listed in the computer as a 10X20 they wouldnt just close one and only charge us for the one and not both unless we moved all of our stuff out of the one into a completely different unit. Absurd!!!! So we emptied our unit on 8/4, the rent came out on 8/1, which was for both units. When i finally got the lady to answer the phone after i emailed her she told me she closed our unit in the system. I asked if we would get a refund for the rent since it had only been 4 days and i was told that they only prorate move in days not move out days so i lost $128 on 2 units for 4 days. Do not use this company for storage. ... Read more

Frequent break ins, they don’t notify you if your unit has been broken into. Had to find out through a post from a customer in a Richmond group on Facebook to check units. They kept trying to charge me for months after already knowing I vacated what little was left after break in. Your items would be safer on your front lawn than here. ... Read more

Anyone considering it think about loosing your property, waiting years to get it back and than being asked for more money from a already overpriced unit that was compromised by the way the place gets robbed frequently and the cameras don’t work the codes are basic 4 digit pins decided by us so idk try any year to get the door to open probably will no effort. This is in response to you guys asking for 13 more dollars for my unit you was convenient but got to greedy. PS i75 storage offers free trailer to use to move from osprey to them ... Read more

Would love to give 0 stars.. there’s never anyone in the office bc you have to set an appointment. My storage tent went up 50 dollars for a basic unit that didn’t even have a light inside so if you need to put something in or out better hope you can with your headlights shining in. They swear up and down they keep their gate closed but you can drive by and see the gate open. Lots of storage building have been broken into- check Richmond Facebook groups or management just clears them out and has you continue to pay for it monthly and act oblivious. In the 5 months I’ve had this unit I have NEVER met or seen a soul there with the exception of someone doing landscape. Now that I am trying to pay and get my things out of this crap show of a building I have to set an appointment show my id etc for them to reset my password. As stated in other reviews none of the listed phone numbers are working. You can get cheaper bigger and climate controlled until with actual security systems else where. ... Read more

Would not recommend. I rented a unit. Paid for two months. And I was never able to even use the unit. I received a partial refund. Their phone numbers posted do not work. And if you ask to speak to a manager, your request will be ignored. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Osprey Storage - 141 South Killarney Lane include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Osprey Storage - 141 South Killarney Lane start from $83 and can go up to $86 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
