Great concept. Poor execution. Got there & initially couldn't get in. No one answered the phone. Eventually the app started working, but even though my unit was lighting up and saying unlocked, i still couldn't open it. called again, after half an hour on hold, i was hung up on. Called again. Another 45 minutes of hold music befor the woman finally answers & says she'll served someone, but by then, I've already left. She said someone would call me, they never did ... Read more

I signed up for a small sized storage unit at $22 a month, with a deal for the first two months. The first two months were half off, then after that I would be paying $22 for the unit. Great deal, right? WRONG. The moment my move-in promo was up, Tri-Village sent me an email saying that “to provide a better experience, your new rental rate will be $35” Better experience???? As if I hang out at the storage unit building???? As if y’all have a real office with real life employees to talk to??? As if I didn’t have to email you multiple times to get back to me???? You are really going to increase my rental by $13 for literally no improvements at all???? What a crock of poop! I think that Tri-Village did this on purpose to make up the lost money on the move-in promo. Beware of their scam!!! ... Read more

The elevators worked sporadically. It cost me at least an extra $100 in moving costs because of the time spent trying to get the two elevators to work. The facility was aware the entire time I rented (3 months) that they frequently don't work. Also, instead of having freight elevators, this storage facility had small elevators that made it difficult to even get the dollies in. I rented a 10' x 10' unit but mine had many large pipes in it so I was promised a discount because I was getting less than the promised space. However, after weeks of asking for my discount, I was told they weren't giving me one. (note to self-always get it in writing). If you are looking for a storage facility, look elsewhere. ... Very easy sign up process. Showed up at the outdoor kiosk during business hours. Andy came out and let us in, efficiently getting us started. He was thorough in explaining the different options and showing us how to navigate the facility using the app. Definitely recommend. Thanks Andy! ... Read more

The facility itself is great--secure, clean, and in a good location. The problem is the complete lack of customer service. There is a sign posted in the facility with an email address to contact for move out and a note that they need at least 10 days notice. That's fine; the facility isn't staffed full-time, so it makes sense they need some time to answer emails, check the units, etc. Here is the timeline of my attempted move out: -December 8: empty unit -December 11: email specified address (over THREE WEEKS before my next billing date) -December 20: receive an invoice for the following month -December 20: leave a voicemail with office asking about the invoice and the move-out process (emails do get sent to spam folders, lost, etc.). This is 15 days from my next billing date. -December 21: send an additional email At this point, I gave up. Before the New Year, I checked their app to make sure I removed my credit card information, but it must've not gone through or been somewhere else in their system. On January 4, they charged me to rent a storage unit for the time period of January 4 - February 4 for a unit that had been empty for nearly a month, and that they had been informed several times--within their requested timeline--was empty. I called the office again, got sent to voicemail again, left a message again, and, almost a week later, have still not heard a thing. I had to go through my bank for a statement credit. So--if you will never leave the area, and you will need a storage unit until you die, this place is great. Otherwise, good luck. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Tri-Village Self Storage - 1170 East Broadway include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Tri-Village Self Storage - 1170 East Broadway start from $26 and can go up to $135 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
