My neice's storage unit was broken into. Most things were stolen. Water also leaked into unit. I paid for Got Junk to empty what was left. My neice went into the office and told them it was emptied and stop charging. I witnessed this.. They continued to charge for 18 months. Unfortunately my neice never caught it on the bank statement. When she confronted them, they denied she told them. So they were probably charging twice for the unit. Never never use this company. ... Read more

Deceptive and lies. They could care less about their patrons. Never answer the phone and no one is ever in the office and not even allowed to use the on site dumpster. Druggies stay over in the units and no one patrols to keep you or your stuff safe. ... Read more

I just want to say, under any circumstances, DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE. Your unit will get broken into and your valuables will be stolen. When you arrive, just look around. Part of the fence line is barbed, part of it is only 4 feet off the ground and looks quite easy to jump over. My unit was broken into the day before we removed our items. They took every day items like pots and other things that would not be valuable to sell, and also sellable items like my $750 guitar, brand new 4k TV, and Sony sound bar, and much more. Whether it was the storage unit themselves, or some random thieves, this storage unit clearly doesn't care because the owner would not text or call back, took no liability, and had nothing to say except for us to contact the police. They had no cameras up except near the front, they had virtually no security, and when they found out we were leaving in a month, they were very rude from that point on. DO NOT GET YOUR THINGS STOLEN. ... Read more

Wish you could give negative stars!!! Obviously this company is doing so well they don't need new business! I wanted to rent here because I live close by and wanted someplace close and I thought their published prices seemed reasonable. I Called and left two messages inquiring about a long term rental and received no response and this was after sending an email that was instantly returned. I found another place close by that actually answers their phone calls! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 360 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Jeffersontown Mini Storage - 9127 Galene Drive start from $35 and can go up to $225 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
