FreeUp Storage has been great so far. The two gentlemen I worked with were both friendly, courteous, professional, and good conversationalists (essential for sales personnel). The price is right. The location is where I need it to be - close enough to my office to be convenient. The unit was clean and dry, and since the floor is a few inches above ground level, I expect that it will stay dry. :-) ... Read more

The storage unit was putting new weather strips on the doors while we were out of the country so we didn't get the notice and the management was nice enough to put one of their very protective locks on our door since they had to take ours off to do the service. Called up the office and spoke with Rick (new manager) and in less than 30 seconds he was able to give me the new lock code to get back into my unit. He was so so nice and helpful and honestly made my day. Love them! ... Read more

This place changed ownership and the front gates have been open ever since. Anyone can drive in anytime. Nothing is secured in the lot. We were planning on leaving our stuff here long term, but are moving it to another location that is secure. Gates haven’t worked in two weeks. 2pm On Sunday and the place is wide open. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at FreeUp Storage - 13100 Aiken Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by FreeUp Storage - 13100 Aiken Road start from $74 and can go up to $254 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
