Read some helpful reviews of Citadel Self Storage at 133 North Locust Hill Drive, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Very clean, smells like a new building. The small units are big enough to put at least two bedrooms worth of furniture. Prices are affordable and I dond have to worry about anyone breaking in because the place is sealed up like fort Knox lol. I would definitely recommend you use this place for all your storage needs. ... Read more

Citadel is very clean and organized and has reasonable pricing compared to other self-storage facilities. Also, they have exceptional customer service! I went to their Lexington facility to request assistance for my storage unit. Their sign on their window said they were closed for lunch. I contacted their office afterward. Citadel returned my call and informed me they were assisting a client previously. As a result, it delayed their lunch. I appreciated the call and explanation. I recommend their facility to anyone in need of self-storage. ... Read more

Great place to store ur belongings The staff is great and they keep the place clean and inviting not like other storage places. Have been here for almost a year and it is easy access in and out. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to store there belongings and the prices are very reasonable considering the climate control uses a lot of AC and ur things don't smell like a storage unit. Which is a blessing. 5 stars when it goes to storage. ... Read more

I needed a climate controlled storage unit and this was the best one I could find in my area. It is very clean and well managed and late gate access was a plus. The rates were the best among the competitors, and staff is excellent. I will be staying with Citadel storage for a long time to come. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Citadel Self Storage - 133 North Locust Hill Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Citadel Self Storage - 133 North Locust Hill Drive start from $49 and can go up to $259 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
