Read some helpful reviews of Lighthouse Storage at 2429 US Highway 60, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This storage facility has changed in the last few months. I have had a unit with them for a few years now and now they have rats. I called the contact information and they told me to file a claim. I don’t want money back I just want them to get rid of the rats but they don’t care. I moved out today after being with them years and had to donate half of my stuff because of how much rat poop was in my unit. They are awful in customer service and I do not recommend renting a unit with them. ... Read more

Needed a storage unit rather quickly at a location near my home. I called Lighthouse Storage and talked to Matthew. I had reserved a unit online but ran into trouble with confirmation. Explained the problem to Matthew and he was able to quickly help me. However the unit I reserved was not readily available but Matthew work out a deal for a larger unit. The cost was more than I wanted to spend but Matthew gave a a great deal in a lower rate for two months along with the required insurance. He explained all in detail and I was impressed. I appreciate all the help and patience Matthew demonstrated. A happy customer here. I was able to start using the storage unit the same day. ... Read more

We rent a temperature controlled unit and it stays at or below 80 degrees. It costs a little more, but is worth it. There has always been a cart available, the facility is very clean. The entrance off Hwy 60 is very steep, it works okay with a car or truck, but too steep for a trailer. There is very good access in the back for large trucks or trucks with trailers. Their pricing was very competitive and they sell very good locks for $10 from a vending machine in the 'lobby'. There is no onsite personnel, you just sign up with their app, on your phone, and you get gate access when you finish. The unit that you rent will be clean and there will not be a lock on the unit. We have another storage facility, not at lighthouse, and it definately gets into the mid 100 degree range [140-160 degrees, maybe hotter] that works for my tools and furniture stuff, but not everything. ... I had a wonderful experience with getting my storage unit through Lighthouse Storage in Henderson, Ky. I was helped by Beth throughout the entire process. She did an amazing job walking me through everything I needed to do in order to get set up and moved in. Beth was very polite and well spoken, she was also very patient and did a great job of explaining the policies until I was able to reach the unit to look at it before renting it. If I have any questions and have to contact customer service again I wouldn’t mind speaking with Beth again due to the helpfulness and positive attitude she displayed. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Lighthouse Storage - 2429 US Highway 60 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Kiosk Available, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 350 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Lighthouse Storage - 2429 US Highway 60 start from $52 and can go up to $244 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
