I have problems with my storage unit everything is fine however I do have a problem with the pri e when I originally moved in my payment was 107.00 per month then after the first of the year price went up to 152.00 I feel thats extremely high for a 10×10 and I was never explained why even when I asked ... My things were stolen from my storage unit, after filing a police report and trying to get assistance from the property manager, I was notified there were no cameras on the property and there was nothing they could do for me. Almost 6 months later I’m notified of a $40 rent increase after being a loyal customer for a year and a half. I informed the property manager that I was uncomfortable with the price increase as I wasn’t properly notified, I asked her how long did she need to know before I move out and she said 24 hours, my things were moved out by the 1st yet they’re still trying to charge me. This company itself is not ethical but the women here are very helpless and insensitive to peoples real lives and their property. Why would I pay $150 and my things didn’t even spend half a day in the unit? My things were gone by 3pm, don’t waste your money here, Istorage is way cheaper ... Read more

Came and filled my unit up, did some organizing and reminiscing. The worker here (I think her name was Jackie) was really nice and offered to help unload some of my stuff! I declined but just the mere fact someone checked on me to see if I was okay is LEAGUES above other self storages who just toss ya a key and say good luck lol. Very great customer service and environment! ... Read more

My unit was broken into last year. Id only put my things in there and went back to it three times unattended and it's was empty every time nobody was every there except the property manager... But when it was broken into they took only my most expensive items. The woman who's always there and is the only one there she had a white car that's there day AND NIGHT (I drive by the place every night and the fact that someone was always there was part of my determining factor in choosing this location) saw nothing heard nothing. But when im there, even tho nobody else is there she drives by me multiple times in her cart. It's too suspicious. I emptied my unit immediately of what was left and the insurance paid me but it was only a fraction of what was lost. But I feel the staff is in on it as the staff is the only person who knew what was in my storage unit and it seemed too coincidental after confiding in her id be gone for a while, it happened during that very period, and no other unit was touched? I started my business in 2024 and thought that was a trusted company. There were cameras and on site staff... But i found out the hard way if you have anything of any real value, youll be a victim here. And yes I realize I may have been too friendly with that woman but she really did initially come off as a kind older woman and seemed informative. Heed my warning ... Read more

So I pay in advance for a unit, already had one there and hadn’t had any problems using the app for gate access. The property manager is there every day, except the day I need to move into the new unit, and the app quit working along with the online access, and the property manager is not there, imagine that. So I start calling and a different property manager tells me it’s because of the renovations, what renovations, and why is nobody there if they are renovating the place. This was deliberate, I will never use them again, I will tell everyone I know what happened when I tried to move into a storage unit pre-paid in advance. Guess they think it’s funny to mess with folks. Real swell people operating that storage facility. ... Read more

If i could give them zero stars i would do it . I had my truck stored with them it's a move truck packed full of my own tools thieves broken into cutting chains and locks taking a good quantity of tools i talked to the receptionist rude woman and said they don't have cameras and they're gate was broken for 5 days that means that anyone can have access to that place and do anything they want. They should be liable to pay for losses and damages since they can't secure that freaking gate ???? . I would not recommend this place to anyone. Last 2 pictures is a pendant i found in the floor of the truck the thief's dropped ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1930 South Woodlawn Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 30 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1930 South Woodlawn Street start from $38 and can go up to $174 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
