Read some helpful reviews of KO Storage at 122 South Hydraulic Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

For price hikes and money gouging after your items are settled in, this is the place for you. Originally my 5×10 unit was $40-something. A little more than it's worth (Id say 20, maybe 30 worth), considering its inner siding of unit is cracked, units are not well sealed, no gating, and the entrance where people normally code in? Hasn't worked since before I got the unit, so well over a year. In the time I've had this unit, the price has been raised by $20, twice. That's right, I'm already paying twice the amount I originally paid for this unit. Meanwhile, online, a remaining available unit, same location, same dimensions, is listed as $49 being its REGULAR price. I called the company advertising this and they assured me the information is fresh. Also recently, the company is now charging renters an extra fee for paying rent through a customer service representative instead of through the automated phone or online process -this doesn't personally affect me since I use the automated process (which is set up well and easy to use) but it does show they continue to find ways to charge the renter more while also cutting costs for themselves. KO Storage is calling what they're doing "price raises." They are entitled to raise their price, but price raise usually means price is going up generally and it may even be due to increased costs (like the repairs or improvements they have not made). Whereas their process raises it for the individual after a certain amount of months already pre-set -in other words, promotional pricing. The price you pay the first month is for a limited time only. Other competitors let you know upfront to expect this price increase, that the amount you're paying is already set to increase. KO Storage does not. So heads-up, the price you're paying KO Storage is set to increase by $20, and again by $20 each time after a certain number of months. If needing storage for a short time or the $20 increases aren't an issue, then yes, this place is a good location, easy to use/access, and nothing got stolen. ... Read more

We had a great experience moving into our storage units. The manager Dana (I believe is manager) was very helpful and opened the door for our movers as well as showing us how to work the locks so that we could lock our units. So far, everything has worked out exceptionally smoothly with them, justifying our decision. Thanks! ... Read more

Since K.O. Storage took over the Hydraulic facility, it's been pretty smooth. Dana, one of the managers, is awesome. She has this talent of delivering professional policy from a consumer's perspective, which increases trust, IMO. I'm satisfied with the facility. I'm satisfied with the pricing. I'm especially satisfied with the management, which is key for me. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at KO Storage - 122 South Hydraulic Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by KO Storage - 122 South Hydraulic Street start from $65 and can go up to $225 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
