Wow, this place is amazing! Very well maintained, clean and exceeded my expectations, i have never seen a storage place like this one, impressive. The counter lady was very friendly and knew her stuff! She helped to find the right size unit too, because if left up to me i would've gotten the wrong size, thank goodness i listened! I highly recommend this location! ... Read more

I rented a unit from this place for approximately 7months and while I haven’t had many issues, the issues I did have I felt were pretty significant. I rented with started my contract online as I was moving from out of state. When I arrived to load some of items into my unit (during the scheduled business hours - opening at 10am) no one was there. Mind you, this was a WEEKDAY. My unit was inside so I needed a specific door code to get inside and none of the paperwork contained this information. I stayed for approximately 20 minutes thinking If someone was scheduled to work they would show up on time. I attempted calling customer service but that’s a joke, no one answers the phone or responds do any sort of message. I ended up leaving and coming back an hour later and someone was finally there to show me how to get into my unit. Fast forward to now, I no longer rent my unit, which I’m glad. When I moved my items out, the ceiling was leaking (thankfully not into my unit but I felt bad for the person next to me), yeah I had insurance, but building maintenance should be a priority. After I scheduled my move out date, cancelling my payment and moving all my items out, I was still charged the next month’s rent. I reached out to customer service, and just as before, no one responds or reached out after my attempts of contacting them. ... Read more

Horrible experience, I reserved unit online and went first time and the last time rude customer service yelled at and employee attitude. The employee did not want to help and would not even show me where unit was had to find the building and unit myself. When found the unit it was hard to open, I don't know if something I was doing or defective but when faced with attitude and employee was not helpful did want to go ask for help and get yelled at again, so I decided to cancel unit and take time to find another storage unit. I suggest run and don't rent from Istorage at 125th St in Overland Park, KS. ... Read more

I would stay far away from renting from this place. I provided my renters insurance declarations page so i wouldn't be charged for their insurance. My policy renewed in September and instead of reaching out to obtain the new policy, they just charged me for the insurance. When u decided to move my stuff to a different storage place because the price was more reasonable, I went online to cancel. As they stated i should. I cancelled and asked them to stop charging me for rent. They still charged me for the following month of storage Ana's don't do refunds. I would consider this theft as i specifically asked them not to charge my account. Stay away from them. Go with the orange competitor instead. ... Read more

I cannot thank Makayla enough for how helpful she’s been to me over the course of the last year and a half. I live out of state, yet have had a unit in her facility that I’ve often needed her assistance so I could coordinate getting donation organizations/family access into it, and it takes a lot of coordination when the key owner of the unit (me) lives 1,500 miles away. Let me assure whoever is looking at renting a unit at this location, security is tight, and Makayla goes far beyond her duties. She obviously loves her job. She couldn’t have been more helpful to me, every… single… time I called. She’s a customer service professional!!! ... Read more

Great experience at this location very close to my home. I met Makayla the first time years ago when I was renting a unit, and she was quite knowledgeable and very kind. The relationship continues to this day with her professionalism and care, which is why I continue to do business there. Her welcoming approach when she's attending to you speaks volumes. I appreciate her and hope she never leaves. She really does a good job maintaining a clean environment, which is very important. Thank you, IStorage, for having such a wonderful employee. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at iStorage - 8321 West 125th Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by iStorage - 8321 West 125th Street start from $30 and can go up to $211 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
