I had an amazing experience with this storage facility. The staff was overly friendly and so accommodating. The unit was super clean when I first moved into it and paying rent was easy. It was also bigger than expected! Highly recommend! ... Read more

A little run down but the prices are really good. Not in the best neighborhood. Was told a 24 hour accessable gate would be installed soon which appears to be happening. I have nothing in here that I'm not ok with loosing. When the clerk opened the desk drawer it was filled with police business cards. I'm assuming this is because thefts are quite common there. That's what insurance is for though. That said, it's a great deal if you recognize that thefts are possible and you are prepared to make a claim with your insurance. ... Read more

The management is working hard to improve security, and delinquent renters that trash the grounds. They are putting in a security fence, lights, camera and gate to be finished sometime this summer. You can't beat the rental price anywhere in town, and if you're a good renter they're accommodating. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 120 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by A-1 Self Storage - 816 Lynn Street start from $50 and can go up to $105 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
