Clean well organized dry and secure storage for good prices. What more could you reasonably ask for? I WILL TELL YOU WHAT: I had entrusted my precious relics to their care for years. I never had to give my stuff a second thought. UNTIL financial disaster in the form of unemployment reared it's ugly head. I've spent my life not being a crybaby - but this time I shared my concerns with Brandon the Property Manager at 3150 S.44th st. He treated me like family and rolled the prices on both my units back about 20% temporarily. CAN'T GET THAT ANWHERE ELSE, I know for an absolute fact. I.M.O. you're a fool to rent space anywhere else in the Metro. FIVE STARS but only because I can't give SIX STARS. ... Read more

I’ve had a unit at this PS location since early 2020 unfortunately, and I’ve had a couple others at different KC area(a couple in OP) locations throughout most of my adult life. My uncle also had units at this particular site for many years before too(until he switched to because it would be cheaper for him). I would give ZERO stars if I could. Idk what the F*** is going on with this location this past year or so but they’re really on some shit lately. In summer 2023 I moved my stuff to a much bigger unit than the tiny one that was intended to just be for a week or two in early 2020 until all the covid lockdowns started. And just like units I’d had with PS before, they increased my rent like $20/year, once a year, but at least it was consistently the same $ amount and again, just once a year. The repeated price increases is a big part of why I decided to go ahead and move my stuff to a bigger more cost effective unit, since the one that had started at less than $60/mo at the end of Feb 2020, was now costing $130/mo after the 2023 increase. Other reasons where that I just wanted and needed more space since my storage unit need had become more of a long term than originally intended when I packed the previous unit Tetris-style(floor to ceiling, wall to wall) just to utilize the smallest most cost effective unit at the time since it was meant to be very temporary, and now I wanted more space so my things could actually be accessible while being stored. The much bigger unit I found was only $40 more per month, $176, but significantly more space for the money. And there wasn’t like some listed/stated deal about the price only being that pricing for a limited time like was the case for a couple others units(which is why I didn’t choose those even if cheaper initially), so I was only expecting the usual annual increases. Fit my needs perfectly! Got everything moved from one unit to the other, and was very happy, and again, this was like June 2023. (I had to cut out the meat of this review due to it being too many characters but the full review is in screenshots that I numbered sequentially in case they load out of order, for those that want to read all the details) Anyways, back on track… I tried calling them, I’ve called them multiple times, leaving multiple voicemails since January(today is 3/19/25) and I still have yet together any callback from them, even though their voicemail says leave a message and they’ll call you back. At this point I’m even more concerned why I’m paying so much for rent if they can’t even pay the one person that they employ onsite(if they still do) to answer or return phone calls!! $176 to $344 in less than a year and a half?! Make it make sense!! Especially when the listed rent for the same size unit on their site is $139/mo “online only”, but still “only”(compared to my cost) $201 for their “in store price”, and in the other times I’ve checked online the past couple months, the pricing has never been more than $180 online. ... I attempted renting a large storage space... No one ever called me back. Drove over to pay and set up rental space. Door was locked and called multiple times and left voice messages for 4 hours before I arrived. Read all the negative reviews after the fact unfortunately, and they are all so true...save yourself wasting your time here. Moving is stressful enough, without the hassle of a company who doesn't want my business. Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3150 South 44th Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 30 to 500 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3150 South 44th Street start from $41 and can go up to $360 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
