Animal droppings and giant black widow found when cleaning out storage unit after just one year regardless of many traps set. I decided to go with a cleaning fee and they were very rude about it. $75 cleaning fee and no deposit back due to leaving very little in there. I would not recommend this storage unit. ... Read more

So i have been storing things at different storage units for years and today was the worse service. I went to get my things out of storage and there was a infestation of mice droppings and dead mice all over my things and when i addressed it to the management there. The lady said that it wasn't their problem. I wouldn't even recommend this place to anybody. It's best you save your time and money. Go to a uhaul storage and pay the difference. ... Read more
Zero H. - 11 November 2019
The pricing for parking spots is ok, not amazing but it almost got them a second star, however, the staff and the treatment can be exasperating to say the least so it stayed at the obligatory one star. Not the most secure place, you can walk into the place easier than getting the lock/gate to work. With a only one or two exceptions the people are standoffish and high handed. Had to have a couple spots for while the shop was veing worked on, glad to be out of there. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by K-15 Storage - 4640 East 63rd Street South start from $25 and can go up to $180 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
