Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 3644 State Route 261, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Clean with several sizes and types to choose from. No one is ever there that will answer the door or phone if you have questions. Price went up 30% with a very short notice. But the most ridiculous thing is that it closes at 9pm...and that means you can't get OUT after 9pm! And since no phone is ever answered, that turned in to a ridiculous problem for us one evening. We finally contacted someone in California (and acted like we wanted to rent; it was 7pm there) and somehow they were able to raise the gate. Rent somewhere else. ... Read more

The positives are the units are easy to get in and out of. The entire service can be managed online and I like that. Started at $50 and it slowly rose to $110 over the course of 1 and 1/2 years. Not a good deal for the money. Many places are cheaper and just as good. I strongly dislike when a service is offered at a discount if you state you are leaving. ... Read more

Constantly raising rates after they get you in. 2 units are now double what I was paying for the 3 units when I first moved in. These rate increases are not out of necessity, but out of pure greed. Can't even get 24 hour access. Only one restroom and now they keep it locked. Not even trying to get the front gate fixed. Almost got my second unit emptied out and then I'll be moving my last unit to another storage facility or my shop. FYI, Public Storage detects what device you're using when you go on their site to check rates. Try looking up rates from different devices before you create an account with them. Older/cheaper devices will get a lower rate and newer/higher dollar devices will get higher rates because they think you have more money and they will quote prices higher to get more of your money. Either way, they're still going to hike their rates once you're there every few months, just because they can and they know most people would rather pay it than to rent a truck and take the time to move their stuff somewhere else. I'm tired of Public Storages constant "because we can" fees/rate increases. I'll be out soon. It is a nice, clean facility and the staff are nice, but they are taking advantage of people, especially those who may be in a situation where it is hard or impossible for them to get out of there and leave them with no choice but to pay the ever growing rates. It's just not right. ... Read more

Two stars only just because it is clean and the staff on site is very nice. Have had two rate increases in less than a year. Will be looking elsewhere once the weather gets better, they lure you in with good prices and then start increasing. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3644 State Route 261 include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3644 State Route 261 start from $47 and can go up to $150 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
