I have been a LOYAL customer for many years, now that there are new owners everything has been chaos. 1st off when you call during normal business hours, noone answers the phone, took 5 days to receive a simple call back after I had sent an email. My rent has always been deducted on the 10th. In Aug I noticed payment wasnt deducted so I called(the only time they ever answered) and lady said I wasnt set up on auto pay and that all payments are due on the 1st...which I have been for years on auto pay so I thought ok no problem...gave her my card info and she said it went thru. Same week I check my bank acct info and noticed a 33.00 payment when I have always paid 17.41. Needless to say it bounced my bank acct. Days go by no call back. Today she calls, says "ya all our prices have changed and that corporate did it to everyones. I told her she did NOT inform me of any payment changes and all she says was Im pretty sure I told you and I mean we can go back and listen to recording. I told her she needs to and asked for corporates phone number. Says she cant give out number, only email. Just sent email. Will update review after getting feedback if any. *Update#1* STILL have not heard back. Also called today...no answer(09/13/21).*Update#2* Received email on (09/14/21). Pics attached * Update #3. (09/14/21) received phone call from "corporate" office to apologize & state that they mailed me letter of price increase which I never got & that the other worker is no longer working at this location. No credit to acct or anything. All around a joke of a company now. What a shame. Soon as I can get to my storage unit Im cancelling my service. Updated- Now they are requiring everyone and changing contract to have insurance! Now bill will be even higher!!!! Also front gate hasnt been locked in MONTHS. Update #2- Received an email of more FEES!!!! See last pic Update #3- Now they think its funny to never reply if their broken gate is fixed or not and send multiple emails back to back to back about their lame fundraiser. No One cares!!! People care if the gate is fixed Update #4*** Now they have raised their prices again for the 2nd time since taking over, 18 more bucks EACH month!!! So from being a loyal customer for years paying 17.41 with excellent service to now my bill is 59.00 ...poor service ******UPDATE****** My bill has went up 3 more times since my review. It is now 108!!!!! Total rip off. Also this last bill increase I was NEVER notified that it would be increasing. If you're considering renting a unit from here...please don't..Save yourself the headache and that being a loyal customer here doesn't do shit.oh and their response just now is all fluff lol they do not care and still never reached out to me notifying of another rent increase. So no I will not email you bc it does nothing. ... Read more

I wish I could give zero stars. In 2020 we were paying $60.11 for storage here. Then a new company took over. Osprey, or whatever. Evidently they like to rip people off so that they can buy more properties and expand parking lots and such. Or probably more so for the big wigs to get rich. They may be taking lessons from the health insurance companies. Anyway, $60.11. Over the last few years, after the old company raised the rent ONCE IN FIVE YEARS FOR $5, the new company has since raised the rent 11 cents short of $30. The rent has gone from $60.11 to $90 in just over 3 years. Do yourself a favor and look at one of the other storage places in town. I know personally that at least one of them grandfathers your price. Whatever price they give you is the one you will pay until you stop renting. But not this place. Nope. ???? This place will raise your rent about $10 per year. My rent has gone up 50% in just a few years. It went up once from 2011-2020, like I said, for FIVE DOLLARS. The amount of rental increases here is absolutely ridiculous and someone is getting rich off of it. Y’all should absolutely be ashamed of yourself for doing this AGAIN, and SO SOON. Why couldn’t you at least wait a few years? But you couldn’t, could you? Because you want to make sure everyone gets used to a yearly increase. So the old company gave one increase over almost 10 years at approximately 9%. This company has increased our rent by 50% in just over 3-3.5 years. 0 stars F minus FAIL ... Read more

I recently had to move to Texas for a few months for work. moving out of my apartment here but, I would like to return in the future when my assignment is up. I left my belongings at storage crib and am pleased upon coming back for the long weekend all belongings nice and safe in an easy to access area. plus I would say it is a very reasonable price for the size of the unit I have. ... It's okay. Maybe overpriced for the condition the units are in. If you don't like spiders or water damage, then don't store anything here, unless you specifically get a climate controlled, weatherized unit. UPDATE: They are raising our monthly fee for upkeep or something like that. Yet there is a massive puddle in front of our unit that for over a year they have not filled in or dug drainage for and it combined with insects and dirt is ruining our belongings. I don't recommend any of their non-weatherized units. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Crib - 2146 Troy Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 45 to 1,008 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Crib - 2146 Troy Avenue start from $32 and can go up to $533 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
