If I could give 0 stars I would. A lot of my furniture was ruined, still haven't seen the full extent of damage done to my appliances, had to move into a new storage unit 2 days after going in the one here for the first time in a couple months. It was absolutely deplorable inside my unit. It was disgusting all the way through the complex to get to my unit. The smell of death, mouse urine and feces, human urine... God It was so disgusting. And trying to file a claim has been a month of he'll. Customer service is an entire joke. Unless you call from a different number from the one on your account, you'll never get an answer. The only times I'd get someone to answer was calling from a different number and act like I was wanting to get a unit there. 0 stars, don't bother. They'll raise your rent by $100 because of 'occupancy'. My rent went from 130 to 320 a month in a year. ... Read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. This place is absolutely disgusting!! It's infested with mice, there's dead mice and droppings all over, garbage everywhere, gnats flying all over, and it reaks of urine. Also pretty sure people are living in there. Good luck finding a cart to move your belongings. The mice got in some of my boxes and ate through my belongings. Good Luck getting in contact with anyone from customer service! We currently have 2 units here and spent the last 2 days getting moved out of 1 of the units and will be working on the other. (Yes, it's this bad!) On top of all that, the prices are ridiculous. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place!! ... Read more

Great Experience. Once you learn that the best way to communicate is via text, and they have a user-friendly website, you will find it easy to work with StorSafe. In past years, I was accustomed to interfacing with a real person at a desk at other facilities, but their system is remote. Yes, they answer the phone, too. Very clean. Safe. Access is easy at all hours. Just don't be surprised when they increase the prices every few months. ... Read more

It was my first experience and after this I'm not sure I will ever use a storage facility place again. First off there are absolutely no directions for anything and it's awful finding a unit . Also they have mice and they tore into my freezer and destroyed the electrical part and the freon part of the lines. The protection plan only covers up to 500.00 on a 1000.00 freezer . I was lucky they didn't destroy our tvs ! They also insist on a receipt for anything that gets damaged ...which is absolutely absurd even after you prove it's in your.posseion etc. They also have homeless people living in the units and in there cars . That itself makes me extremely uncomfortable. I did make a complaint but nothing was done about it. The place was filthy as well ! Two days after I closed out my unit they texted me and said I was late on my rent, they can't keep their records straight. I closed my account and sent the email confirmation back to them the same day . Not sure how management works but they suck. Also when you call about questions sometimes they lie about their answers because I asked for a copy of the protection plan addendum and the stupid lady lied and told me I couldn't have it . So unfortunately I had to call back and speak to another person. This company absolutely needs to get their crap together and do a better job ! ... Read more

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. They took over from Castle, cut services, raised the price by 15%, dropped the temp in a "climate controlled" storage unit to 35 degrees, have no one answering the phone, and expect the tenants to shovel snow in front of their own units. I kid you not. Go ahead and rent here - you'll be very sorry. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 110 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by StorSafe - 2600 Franklin Street start from $95 and can go up to $179 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
