Shoutout to Nathan (GM) for his help today! Always personable and generous with his wealth of experience; today he saved my bacon and helped me deal with a dryer that I absolutely would have wrecked by myself. Can’t say thank you enough! ... Read more

It was nice to search something on line and have my search taken care of right away! The move in price and monthly rental are by far the best rates out there! When I made it down there to sign the lease, I met a extraordinary gentleman who loves his job, took the time to walk me through everything, showed me my unit, and was nice enough to get a vehicle moved so I wouldn’t have to back all the way around, I definitely made the right choice choosing prime storage! ... ***BEWARE!*** Your cost for a unit here will INCREASE MULTIPLE TIMES A YEAR! I secured a unit here online since the price was almost 1/2, $68 vs $112, what it would've been had I went in person. I called 1st (unknown at the time, I was directed to a call center not the local facility) to inquire if they offered a Veteran discount, online it said active duty military discount. I was told that extended to Veterans as well, turns out it does NOT. I then asked about the insurance since our personal policy covered storage units but that policy was under my name & was told that my husband would just need to add me as an authorized person on the unit & we would not be charged the $17 fee from them. I secured everything online up to signing the lease which we would do in person to finalize everything. I was charged immediately for the 1st month + the $30+ for the 'processing' fee. A day later I received a call from the local facility saying I didn't sign the lease. I explained what I was told when I called (which was a Thursday) & my husband was a truck driver & wasn't home. We would be in at the beginning of the week to finish the process. I was told that wasn't necessary, I could've signed everything online & processed the insurance info but coming in person a couple of days later was fine. Before we went in on Monday to finalize it & get our unit # and pass code to get into it I had gotten a charge for the $17 insurance thru them. Monday I was told I only had 3 days to provide proof of personal coverage & he would TRY to have that fee reversed but no guarantee it would be. We were also then informed that the fee for the unit would increase every 3-4 mths! I could call to negotiate that increase but it would for sure go up 3-4 times a year, at least $7 each time. When I asked about this I was told they base the charge on what the current availability of that size unit is at the time. I then asked if we could pay for a year up front to secure our price of $68 & was told the price would still fluctuate & we would have to pay the difference each time it did. The employee said he had done close to 100 of these negotiations over the past couple of weeks. One example was a customer called to negotiate his $35 increase & the employee was able to "get it down to $14". He said this like it was a good thing! You have to provide a 15 day notice to cancel your rental so Tuesday morning I called to cancel it. We basically had a unit for less than a day & lost over $100 on this. Knowing the fee is going to increase & having to negotiate how much 3-4 times a year is crazy to me! ... Read more

The staff are exceptional. They consistently go above and beyond to accommodate my needs and provide the best options. I appreciate the cleanliness of the facility. However, I find it inconvenient that the bathrooms are locked after office hours & on weekends, although I understand the reasoning. My primary concern is the frequent price changes. Over the course of two years, my rates have changed approximately five times in less than a year, which was particularly challenging as I had multiple units. If not for the staff's excellence, I am uncertain whether I would continue to stay. I gave rating of 5, because of the staff. Otherwise, I would have given a rating of ???????? for the remainder of my experience. It’s the constant price changing for me. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Prime Storage - 2324 Sagamore Pkwy South include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Prime Storage - 2324 Sagamore Pkwy South start from $22 and can go up to $230 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
