Tiffany was exceptionally helpful and thorough. I appreciated her taking the time to show me several units before making a decision. I'm glad that she did because the one I originally selected was outside and nit conducive to the things I needed to store. I also arrived later in the day, near closing. Tiffany did not rush me and allowed me time to unpack while she finished closing down. There was also another lady that came in just moments before closing. Tiffany advised that she could accept the payment but wasn't able to process it right away as she had to finish with me and by that time they'd be closed. The lady was adamant about processing the payment right then and did not want to wait. Tiffany remained polite and professional although the lady wasnt pleased with Tiffany's answers. I’m sorry I can only give 3 stars but I just signed up and have not had the full experience with the company to give 3 stars. What I can say is that the CubeSmart I sign up with ( 855 Taft st in Gary) has gotten a great review from my aunt who had a unit there. She is the reason I went there. Tiffany at the front desk is awesome. She is friendly and very knowledgeable. She takes her time with you and makes you feel at home. This facility may not have 24 hour access but the security is unbeatable. Tiffany knows everyone that comes in and out. She will even come and check on you if she feels she hasn’t sent you in a while. I like the fact that someone has eyes on you all the time. I’m looking forward to working with this company. ... I’ve only been in this contract for 3 consecutive months paying $129+ fees totaling $133. The company sent an email without explanation stating in July I will now be paying $168+ fees totaling $172. I sent an email to the store manager to explain the sudden increase and they have yet to reply. I think this is very dishonest to promote an affordable rate just to arbitrarily increase it on customers. I’m positive their only response will be some generic response claiming the economy, or the markets. This shouldn’t be passed to the customer. I will be ending my contract and never using them again. I find that customers are already struggling and to increase their fees $38 without reason is unacceptable. Linda and Bill , graciously helped me move into 4 units. They were patient with me and always asked how they could help. That “kind” of service is priceless! Unfortunately, they are gone. I had the fortune of meeting Flo. She is AMAZING!! Informative kind and helpful. Then I met the embarrassment of CubeSmart Self Storage, Kim or kelly. This woman is rude and the epitome of unprofessional. My husband accidentally hit the garage door. We immediately came inside to own our accident. She began screaming and yelling and telling me that she was “angry “ because we hit the door. I explained to her that it was an accident. She continued berating me . I asked her to call the police. I’ve never had a bad experience with CubeSmart. As I said I have 4 units there. But this woman went into my vehicle! Cursed at me and the police . Even the police asked her to go into the office. I was moving all of my things out and I had 2 days left before the 1st of the month. First of all I had been there forever, staying because I love Sharon and her crew that used to own it. There was no issues of mold, mice, etc. I noticed when someone was cleaning out an empty room that they closed the door when the floors were still wet. That might account for the mold issues I had. Again, since 2008 no mold issues until the place was sold. The female employee that isn’t regular at this location was rude and nasty to me and some other customers. I arrived at 4:15 pm(they close at 5:00pm) I had it planned out how hard to work, how fast etc. I get yelled at by this female employee telling me at 4:30 she was locking the place up and shutting the door with me and my van still in there at 4:45 so I had 15 minutes to wrap it up and be out by 4:45. She also told this to a young couple and their child. She was trying to be intimidating but it backfired. She doesn’t need to be working at this Taft location. Rude and disrespectful every time I saw her. Bob on the other hand is great! I was told I didn’t put a deposit down but I did so make sure to ask for your paperwork when you leave. You can’t shut customers in a facility overnight Karen!!! You can’t lock us in there when it is still business hours. You even threatened to lock a young child in there overnight! Seems like you are out of your element honestly. Again, Bob was great and an asset to the company but the other lady is a detriment that is a lawsuit waiting to happen.
