I haven’t needed a storage unit in YEARSSSS. I would highly recommend giving this storage business a try. Ashley went above and beyond to help me. Whenever I needed questions answered she stayed very patient with helping me along with just understanding my needs and why I was renting a unit. She displayed good customer service on every level . I was shocked how much she cared honestly. If I need a storage unit in the future I’ll definitely go back to this company ... Read more

I've rented here and have had no issues. There are a fence, gate, and cameras. I think the local news articles are ridiculous! Why is no one reporting on the murders and drug over doses that happen at the storage place on Colesium?! And that lady on the news, it gives you options for more insurance. She went with the cheapest plan. I had $5000 in coverage. Storage units are broken into all the time. Everywhere. As for the officer who discussed other tenants personal business with this lady, how about you focus on the fact that the facility getting broken into, that, again has a fence, gate, and cameras, is in YOUR jurisdiction. Wayndale. Because the same SROA facility up on Lima road doesn't have this issue. Its only the one in the neighborhood you're supposed to be patrolling. Hmmm.... ... Read more

This place has the crappiest customer service! You can never get a hold of anyone that works there! My one unit was broke into stuff stolen and the lady (when she finally got a hold of me 22 days later) said they had the maintenance man on the investigation of the break ins. They never called the police and then locked me out of the facility so I couldn't even check my unit! Here's a pic of a fence in the back that had been broke and they fixed it with barely nothing! But I got to cheat on my boyfriend in the unit so 5 stars!! ... Read more

This place is an absolute joke! They claim to keep your belongings safe however my storage unit has been broken into TWICE in TWO MONTHS and I am not the only tenant that this has happened to. I was told to file an insurance so that my belongings could be replaced when I discovered it had been broken into the 1st time (6/1/23) and their insurance company denied my claim stating I didn’t provide enough proof. Today on 8/23/23 my wife and I were driving by the property and noticed that the security gate was wide open, so we went to check our locker and discovered it had been broken into AGAIN! When I called to report it to the property manager I was unable to get in contact with her and had to speak to a customer service representative and I would have to wait 24hrs to speak to someone in regards to this mattter. I spoke with another tenant while on the property and he informed me that he received a call for the Fort Wayne Police Department informing him that someone had just been arrested in his jeep that he had been storing in his unit. As my wife and I were leaving, we noticed one of the two cameras on the property is facing the sky and there were several doors that had been tampered with. The price of my 10x10 storage unit has increased from $79+tax to $140 in the past year meanwhile I can’t trust that my belongings will be safe while on the property. ... Read more

My unit was broken into and I found it on 7/11. The robbers broke through an open unit and sawed their way into mine. They even went as far as breaking through the other side. 7/14 I emailed the property manager of the list for my claim. I brought to her attention of security and was brushed off. 7/17 I was called by an officer who couldn't get ahold of the property manager. Currently still waiting on any type of footage they have. 7/27 I wrote a bad honest review and it was deleted. its 7/28 and a different property manager finally emails me to tell me they cant see what I emailed them on 7/14.. Poor management and Poor customer service ... Read more

Very poor security. I called for a robbery and was told by the sheriff that I was the 5th person to call. He had trouble getting a hold of the property manager and even the officer on my case couldn't get a hold of the property manager. I gave them all the information and It's been a week and I haven't heard any updates on footage that they obviously don't have. I found my unit on a Tuesday and they were doing renovations with the security cameras wrapped up. They didn't even unwrap them after they were done. On 7/15 I told her about the wrapped security cameras and even asked if they had any. She refused to answer and blew me off about the security cameras. I took the picture 2 days after I told her and they were still wrapped. I've talked to two sheriff's and they deemed this a shady storage unit. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't even heard of the insurance going through or even if it was filed. YOU NEED MORE SECURITY IF ROBBERS ARE GOING THROUGH EMPTY STORAGE UNITS AND CUTTING THROUGH TO OTHERS. They even cut the other side of the unit but I guess there wasnt anything good. I appreciate Alicia Sandler for blowing me of for the concerns of the security. Look else where for storage units! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 2909 Lower Huntington Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Kiosk Available, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 2909 Lower Huntington Road start from $14 and can go up to $126 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
