IF I COULD RATE THIS PLACE A 0/5 I WOULD!! We rented a unit online from Storage Rentals of America without realizing the terrible conditions we would find. When we arrived, the storage unit absolutely reeked, cockroaches were crawling everywhere, and it looked like something had rotted in the corner and left behind a disgusting stain. The facility itself felt unsafe—one of the gates was broken, leaving the property wide open to anyone who wanted to walk in. The whole reason we chose a storage unit was to keep our belongings safe and secure, but this was the complete opposite. When I immediately called to cancel and report the unit, I spoke with a woman named Kerry. She told me her manager would be in town that day and she’d let them know right away so I could get a refund. She also canceled my account since we couldn’t even use the unit given how neglected and unsanitary it was. Days went by, and I had to keep calling for updates. I called at least 4–5 times, and every time I was given excuses: “the manager was too busy,” “they forgot to tell them,” or “they had other things going on.” To make things worse, after my account had supposedly been canceled, I was charged AGAIN. When I called about that, I was told (yet again) that the manager would be in touch. It’s now been 3 weeks—no call, no email, no refund. Today, I spoke with Kerry again who said, “I see the note on your account, not sure why nobody has reached out to you.” When I asked for corporate’s phone number or email, I was told they don’t have one to give out. This has been a nightmare—unsanitary facilities, unsafe property, terrible customer service, and absolutely no accountability or resolution. I still haven’t received my refund, and the only thing I’ve gotten from this company is a runaround. ?? My advice: go ANYWHERE but here. Don’t waste your money or risk your belongings with Storage Rentals of America. ... Read more

We rented storage from sroa Evansville Indiana Washington avenue Had a month free contract and within those months someone broke into the locker and stole everything. We put in a insurance claim Just found out that they denied the claim because they said we had paid no rent on the locker which is true but we had months free. so I don't see how that will interfere with them paying off on a claim on insurance that they should have had their self on all lockers. to you or anyone reading this message I wouldn't rent from rsoa They have had several break-ins at different locations I don't know if it is orchestrated or what I wouldn't rent a locker from there. most likely you're going to regret it. Now we're going to have to go to small claims court just to get compensation. Update 3/16/2025 I called the facility and they told us that they can't talk to us because if we're going to sue them they would not cooperate. They sent an email saying that someone will be in contact with me from the facility to talk about restitution of Lost property. That was over a month ago I've heard nothing since. Whatever you do I would not rent a storage unit from this company If your stuff gets taken They will not in fact they will probably deny your claim Just to see if you're going to take legal route to get money from your Lost property. If they want to talk to me. they know my number and my email. Because I know they're reading this. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 4619 Washington Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 4619 Washington Avenue start from $37 and can go up to $208 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
