They are so wonderful I'm in the middle of moving and ran out of space and in a pinch they set me up immediately with a unit right next to mine. Sanded me alot of headaches. I would recommend them to all my friends. Thank you so much. ... Read more

Just a heads up… Do not rent from Storage Rentals of America. We had a unit there that was broken into and things were stolen. From the get go, they have been of no help and are making such a hassle to get the insurance claim in… They called and wouldn’t tell me anything, just to have Andrew call them. He called them and they didn’t tell him anything, just to swing by on his way home from work and make sure everything is ok! He asked why?? And if he should be worried, they said no, just go check it out. He got home later that evening, and saw it had been broken into and the lock was missing and things evidently taken and looked thru. We decided to go and bring everything here… we couldn’t get ahold of anyone at the office, so called the Elkhart PD and made a report. They suspect it’s an inside job as there have been 200 break ins this year. We were on our second load out, and got locked in the storage gate… and had a hassle to try to get out… ended up having to leave the rest of our stuff in storage without a lock on the door. The management was not helpful at all… not apologetic, just gave us the forms for insurance, they said they wanted an itemized list of things.., we know for sure of some things taken, the tote or two that was stolen, we aren’t sure what exactly was in there. Or the bucket of Andrew’s tools. We did an itemized list and pricings of what I found online, and I had photos of other things, every time we take things to turn it it, they keep adding to what is needed… Now they need a photo of every single item that was taken, and a price on the photo of how much it was… or it won’t count in the reimbursement… so I have to look online and find similar photos or try to find the exact items, and then put the price on it…. But what do I do about homemade items that I don’t have a photo of?? If there is no photo it won’t count in the reimbursement…. ???????? WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! For those who have things in storage, do yourself a favor, just in case… make a list with photos of everything you have in the unit…. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! ... Read more

Customer service rep put in the wrong reservation date so on moving day when I went to secure and pay for the unit the reservation had been canceled per the office. Now I've got a moving truck and helpers and no storage unit, oh wait they said "we do still have one 1 unit left that size but the price is 91dollars instead of the 69 dollars as quoted earlier" (pretty sure thats the unit I reserved 6 days ago) The man on the phone was snickering and seemed to take pleasure in the fact that he had me in a corner and didn't need to provide good customer service or make any attempts to correct the issue created by his untrained staff. Never ever have I had such a negative experience and I would never ever recommend sroa to anyone who values truth, honestly and their hard earned money. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 2421 Cassopolis Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 2421 Cassopolis Street start from $26 and can go up to $40 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
