Read some helpful reviews of Pro Self Storage at 3632 East Lake Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Honestly I don’t know where to start and at this point even if it matters but I just had to leave something behind before I make the next transition. I have had a unit here since 5/1/2024. The monthly cost was $20 for a 5x10 where I paid $245 for the whole year. I just recently got a letter that my monthly cost would be going up from $20 to $99 which was absurd. I called and talked to Randal who advised me is the manager and explained to me that rates are based on local data research but when analyzing selfstorage.com most prices come back between $15-$50. Pro self storage has a winter promotion for $35 and their standard rate is $40 for a 5x10 unit. Once I explained all this to him he said he will escalate this to corporate and work with me also asked me what would I be comfortable paying and I said I understand it is under new management so if the price goes up $5-$10 I can work with it but $99 feels like a scam for a 5x10 unit. So, the next day he called me back and said they were able to lower the price from $99 to $50 for this 5x10 unit meanwhile their website states $40. I know this place got bought up but why advertise something you don’t uphold. Has anyone else experienced this under new management? Ever since I got this unit I have been telling anyone I know moving and just in general that needed space to consider this storage but now I am just flabbergasted and need to make arrangements for my move. I don’t know if I was specifically targeted but I would love to hear other situations before I make my move. I have been currently offered a monthly rental by public self storage for $23 which is inside and not that I need it to be but compared to pro self storage in Wilmette it definitely makes sense. If anyone else has experienced this or similar please let your voice be heard as I just don’t get it unless I am being specifically targeted. Randal stated those are promotional rates which are bound to change but $20 to $99 than $50 while advertising $40 is like gouging your current customers. Once again if anyone has experienced this under new management please speak your mind. Thank you! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Pro Self Storage - 3632 East Lake Avenue include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 250 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Pro Self Storage - 3632 East Lake Avenue start from $5 and can go up to $289 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
