This harbor is great! They have 30 amp & 50 amp hook ups for power and have water hook ups. They offer bath house, pump out station, wifi, and gas. There are a couple of maintenance guys on site. Plus, the bonus is Alexander's Steak house is in walking distance from the harbor. They also offer RV parking and boat storage inside and out. Thank you for making our boating experience as wonderful as it has been! ... Read more

I Normally love it here, (and no I'm not using my real name for obvious reasons) but if our HARBOR MASTER DAN would care more about the harbor instead of the campground, that would be great! I mean, that is what we pay for, yet he won't fix anything or have the illegal cars from ALEXANDER'S towed (which he could actually make a few bucks doing that with Dependable Towing or whoever, since stupid people can't READ signs on the gate that say "wharf members only" and "NO ALEXANDER'S PARKING". Very simple. Give us car stickers and a couple guest passes, and then let the towing company have a great night towing everyone without a sticker! Otherwise what's the point of being a member if you just let the public on our picnic tables or in our parking area?! Also fix our broken deck boards and dredge our Marina. Be there to give us gas and stop forgetting about your PAYING MEMBERS. And you over charge a bit, that's why you lost a few boats, but also a weed eater to clean up our dock area and picnic tables would be nice, and more dredging around skis and WHOLE AREA so big boats don't have to struggle would be nice too (though luckily river didn't get too low yet this year so let's get illegal parking and people that sit on picnic tables that dont belong (and throw litter everywhere) to go away and stop staring at us like we are in a zoo. Take control of your (OUR) Marina that we PAY you to do. If they (ALEXANDER'S) come there via boat to eat (which is rare) that's OK but you need to give them a visitor pass (ALEXANDER'S does) and walk them down to unlock the gate since they think it's OK to leave our gate open and they need to be supervised so they aren't stealing stuff off our boats! Make it happen and this place might survive! I mean a weed eater is there already, use it! A 2×8 is like $20...fix it! Don't call your customers bad names and think we won't hear. Nice guy... but this is just getting old...FIX THIS SIMPLE STUFF! NOT HARD! But they do have nice boat and ski lifts! That's all that keeps me there! ... Read more

Dan, Gary, Troy & Paula all came to our rescue. They were sooo loving and genuinely CARE about people! The service, attentiveness and genuine compassion was felt to the bone! These people will be memories for my lifetime! They answered when no one else would and went FAR beyond what most would have done to haul us out, fix the boat and get us underway. They are a family and made us feel part of it! We had to get underway but I hated to leave them. They allowed us to use a vehicle to go to the grocery store and have lunch! They were more than awesome and TRULY deserve ALL of our business! They saved the day and we made friends, what more can one ask for? Hugs to them all! ... Read more

Honestly a great place at a great price. Dan is great and the park, while small, has a nice view of the lake/river. Bath houses are a hike, but large with lots of hot water and plenty of room. We would definitely book again on our next trip through the area. ... Read more

Bought a boat on July 2, 2020 over at East Port Marina. The boat sucked a chain as the marina pulled the boat from water and damaged both propellers and stuffing box. Harbor master told us it would be taken care of and he would also haul the boat to Cincinnati. My boat sat there until September 3.(mechanic at East Port took some parts off and didn't finish) After the Ex-owner of the boat got tired of waiting and repaired the boat. we took the boat toward wharf marina for use of the Travel lift. On the way over the boat started running hot on starboard side, The water inlet had been shut off. Hmm wonder how that happened... We made it to Wharf on one engine. Once at Wharf I met Dan. He was amazing. Shipper was held up with another boat and was running late. He gave me a covered slip to get the boat ready for shipper. He even stayed late. Once shipper arrived Dan helped load the boat. I needed to take additional stuff off boat to meet height requirements. He helped the whole time. The shipper could not get the boat to Cincinnati due to Holiday weekend. Dan has let my boat sit there on there trailer till holiday is over. Out of the whole experience of buying my first boat, I have met many people .. Dan has to be one of the best ones yet. The Quality of customer service is his main priority. If you ever in Peoria looking for a slip or Marina head over to Wharf and see Dan ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Wharf Harbor Marina-Campground - 99 Alexander Avenue include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Parking, Enclosed and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
