I have been paying for my unit for 3 years, I had a financial issue and they would not take partial payments. Screwed me. Which me who is trying to live paycheck by paycheck, I couldn’t do it. So built up and laid it and paid it. Then probably the 5th time they were going to place it on auction I call the day before to pay it, I messed up the day and they sold it 30 min before I called. Then I called back to ask if they could give my info to the buyer to give me my personal Al stuff that they will just throw away. And then the manager (Michelle) calls/texts me saying they didn’t claim my unit so if I can pay and vacate I can get my stuff (which is my whole life, everything I have built and collected in my 36 yrs of life). I had already spent it on other expenses because I thought I lost my unit. I asked if she could give me a week. She said no. I cried and said ok well please pass my info to the buyer to see if they will give me the stuff they do not want (pictures ext). She said, “ ya usually people always get that personal stuff back “. Then for the past month I have been trying to get ahold of her, she won’t answer, left messages with numerous people, no response. Sorry so long but I lost everything, my whole life, bc they couldn’t take payments and then to be ignored and led down a hopeful path. Ridiculous! ... Read more

Been renting at this facility for almost 3 years. My padlock was cut, and one of the members of management called me to inform me of the situation. After reviewing the tapes they were able to catch the person who did this. Thank you for helping catch the culprit. ... Read more

I've had a unit here for over 3 years now & never had any issues until recently. New management took over sometime within the last year & since then my bill has gone up twice, my due date changed which cut me short by 10 days, the onsite kiosk went down over 6 months ago & hasn't been fixed, and last month I get a text from Peoria storage center saying I've been accessing my unit "after allowable hours"! WHAT?! 3 reasons I chose to use this facility - cheap, onsite kiosk, & 24 hour access. I got no notification that access hours were going to change & I'm not about to keep paying the ridiculous high price to not have access to my things whenever I want! This customer of 3+ years will be taking her things elsewhere after this month. ... Read more

This place isn't worth the money. It's cheap and it shows. Units leak, infested with mice, and if you are 5 days late you get a $20 late fee. New management? Can't really tell the difference. Place is a dump and should be shut down. Better off leaving your stuff outside. ... Read more

My husband and I have two units here. This week the gate has been locked and after 4 phone calls and several different codes we are still unable to gain entry to our units! We have been waiting on a call back from the property owner for the last 4 days!!! Not very happy. My husband said there were signs around property saying something about a court date. Not sure what is going on and we are extremely angry that we have been locked out of our units since we are current on the payments!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at All Star Mini Storage - 7030 West Plank Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 585 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by All Star Mini Storage - 7030 West Plank Road start from $22 and can go up to $89 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
