DO JOT RENT HERE AND IF YOU DO, BE READY WITH A LAWYER. YOUR BELONGINGS WILL BE RUIEND. First left me start with our “climate controlled” unit that we upgraded to is INFESTED WITH RAT VOMIT, FECES. They offered us NO SOLUTION for our RUINED property. We pay almost 100 more for this unit and are offered ZERO compensation. Their excuse was “sorry KFC is nearby” and that we should have purchased “unit insurance” NOT TO MENTION WE WERE NOT OFFERED THIS “unit insurance” THEY SPEAK OF WHEN WE SIGNED THE LEASE!! What about the fact that our unit smelled of moth balls and had No climate control the last time we visited?!?! What a joke. Fast forward to today, we were up to date until I unfortunately was laid off two months ago. I have a new job but have to wait on the first paycheck to come in. Which they are offering NO GRACE on even though they were given my start date and promise to pay date. My husbands father has passed away in an accident and there is ONE small box we asked to have removed that is all he has left of his father and that they can have the rest of the unit for auction. To which we were told “this is a business.” I responded with “I’m sorry but I was laid off and we have not had the opportunity to come down from our home state due to that, and this is all my husband has left of his father. Please let us have the one small box”. The rude lady at the front responded with “I’m sorry you feel that way! you should have made it a priority to get your things when you had the chance!” THE REST OF OUR UNIT IS RUIEND ANYWAY!! There is no personal touch to this company whatsoever. Extremely rude and do not care about their loyal patrons. Nothing they say can defend their terrible actions. Karma is very real and I hope it comes down hard on this place. ... Read more

Don’t use this place you will have no security and your unit lock will be cut and robbed, also this happened in broad daylight, while the workers were upfront working not checking rounds, not making sure the units were in good shape at closing time. This place is a joke! ... Read more

The woman who runs this business is extremely rude. She acts like helping you is a complete waste of her time. Our unit reeked of cat pee when we moved our stuff in. We also had items stolen from our unit. ... Read more

Used this place for a year.half the time i had to get the key from the rude lady there to unlock my unit. Finally got my stuff out then a year later needed a storage unit again.went there thinking it would be nice to be a repeated customer, but the rude lady there accused me of leaving garbage behind the last time and said if she finds the paper that says that, she would put a lock on my unit and double the deposit.so i decided to go somewhere else for a storage unit.I would never recommend going here!! ... horrible customer service. The lady is very rude. They were closed the day we were to have our stuff out of storage and so we had to wait until the next day and they charged us for another month. I had to call 4 times and beg for my money back and she was completely rude. I went there to get my refund and it was 10 minutes before they closed and she got in her truck and left. It took me 3 times of going there to actually catch her (i would call before hand and tell her I was coming). I do not recommend them! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Stor N-Loc Mini Storage - 1914 North 8th Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
