My step daughter went back to school and we needed to store her extra stuff somewhere. This location looked clean and bright. Ended up bringing some of my Mom's stuff here also. Trustworthy storage. Mark was very helpful both times, one of the reasons we came back! Check em out, highly recommended. ... Read more

3/10/2025 update: My rent is now $439/month - close to 2x my original rent of $233/month since arranging storage in 2023. This morning, I took a ride to swap out winter/spring items. A window is broken out, the front entrance door is out of service AGAIN, with a note to use the back entrance. I make my to the back entrance, the "secured door" is wide open. Zero security. Zero climate control - it was 35° this morning. Office doors are locked, no one is on duty. "We'll treat your stuff like it's our stuff" - Public Storage apparently doesn't care about their stuff or anyone else's. Current & potential renters beware, your belongings are up for grabs. ****** Original 1/2/2024 review: I pay over $300/month for storage space at this location. Headed over to put luggage in my storage unit on Tues 1/2/2024 at 12:00pm on my lunch break. Repeatedly put my code in, the building's roller door went up a couple inches & fell back down. Threw my car into reverse, parked, walked up to the office door - office door is locked, office is empty, lights are off, no note with a return time. I called, left a voicemail, waited around in my car for 45min - no reply, no one returned to the office. Two other customers pulled up & attempted to access the building as well. I wasted my lunch hour on an errand I couldn't complete. Per Public Storage's website, this location supposedly has a property manager onsite... except there's no one onsite and I have no access to the building, my storage unit, and belongings. I don't know how Public Storage can call itself "the leading provider of storage units for personal, business and vehicle needs," and have no one onsite during business hours, no notice posted that the entrance door requires service/is broken, no signage up that an employee will be back at a specific time, and the office phone isn't forwarded to live agents for customers who need assistance in real time. I've been home for almost 3 hours - still no call back re: when I can expect access to my storage unit & belongings. Update: I've raised my rating from one star to three stars - the DM called me, discussed the faulty door, flex hours & that staff are in-office intermittently, that the door should be repaired within the next day or so, and offered a credit for the inconvenience. ... I like it a lot so far the only issue I have is the doors don’t have safe latches. In previous storage spaces I’ve used you roll the door up and it catches - here you have to pull back the metal on the track to jam the door up (I was told to do so by staff after I first used it, rolled it up and the door fell back down on me because it had no stops) I’ve already had issues trying to get it to stay and I’m scared to catch my fingers in it doing it this way, the door isn’t made to work this way it should have safe stops. Might just be my unit I’m not sure but I worry about getting caught in the track or door- Manager commented they’d look into it 3 weeks ago and nothing has been done and the door has fallen on me twice and I almost catch my hand trying to improperly prop the door open with the metal as suggested it’s dangerous and not ok. Changed my review to one star because the door is a death trap and I expect it fixed ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4600 Southwest Hwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 30 to 225 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4600 Southwest Hwy start from $64 and can go up to $365 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
