The property is quiet, and is secluded back from John Deere Rd by Heritage and Walmart. It was very easy to access our unit to get belongings and the inside was clean as well. We rented a 5x10 which is big enough for what we have to store. Also, the office is very easy to get ahold of if you have any questions or need help with anything. ... Read more

I’d give negative stars if I could. Bolt storage bought out U-STORE-IT and within two months it was broken into. They make you have their insurance which covers almost nothing. You also have to have receipts for items stolen. The insurance policy only goes up to $2000. My unit price also increased $30. I was notified 5 days AFTER the break in and they did nothing to secure the units that were broken into. Not only did I have a ton of things stolen, they are also not giving me back my deposit or my prorated amount for moving out early in the months because I did not give the ten day notice. They also state there is security cameras around the premises and there aren’t any and the police confirmed there is no footage of anything like the company claims they have. You are not able to speak to a manager on the phone, only via email - if you can even get them to respond. I have had my unit for over two years and had zero problems until it became Bolt storage. This company is absolute trash. ... Read more

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
