Look elsewhere if you want a storage unit. They will triple your prices in a couple years. Started off at 125$ and finished in the 400$. Do not use them for storage units. People throw trash over the walls and the thin walls are falling apart. So people will come into your rental and destroy your stuff. Property manager was nice though. ... Read more

THIS LOCATION IS NOT IN BUSINESS! THE GATE IS NOT OPENING ANYMORE AS OF 10/21/2024. Customer service is saying there are tickets open for repair, but obviously if they are still in business they would fix this matter within 30 min or so. Having gate locked and not operational for self storage is unacceptable. The customer service says the wait could take up to 3 days! That is unacceptable! This could only mean only one thing. GOING OUT OF BUSINESS.The Red Dot was great, this company is rock bottom! The only thing that this company has working flawlessly is their payment processing system. Everything else is 0.Customer service is EXTREMELY RUDE, AND property manager that is in Woodstock is nowhere to be found or reached. The phone number gets automatically rerouted to customer service who knows where... When you request to speak with district manager, they pretend to send a request and the district manager never calls back. He doesn't even exists... Except the payment processing system that works flawlessly, everything else either doesn't work or it does not exist, including the response to this comment, even if it appears, it will probably going to be fake politically correct nonsense or generic fluff... Nothing normal... ... Read more

IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS I WOULD THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS !!!!!! They will not answer the phone. The automated system is trash and YOU WILL NEVER EVER BE ABLE TO REACH A PROPERTY MANAGER. Please read the reviews first before signing ! They had me sign a lease for a unit that was already rented out to someone else and when I called about they answered pretended to care and then hung up.. since that they have not answered any of my calls. I even added a picture to show that a lock was already placed on that unit when I got there. ... Read more

DO NOT STORE ANYTHING HERE !! I rented units at this facility when it was still called Red Dot Storage. Everything at the facility is outdated & janky, but I ignored that in exchange for the slightly lower pricing. Buildings get old, I get that. However, over the time that I rented, I noticed that there was almost no maintenance. Trash all around, huge potholes, broken unit walls and slide bars, etc. Then a lock on one of my units was mysteriously cut off & the facility charged me for a replacement. When I inspected the unit, no items were missing. It seemed that the property manager had cut the lock on the wrong unit & then had the nerve to charge me for the new lock. A couple months later, in February, 2024, my unit and several other units throughout the facility were broken into. I filed the insurance claim through the insurance company that they require you to buy a policy with - they still haven't paid the claim. There was no security, video or otherwise, anywhere at the property. I notified them on the phone in early July, 2024, that I would be emptying one of my two units on 7/20/24. About two weeks after emptying my unit, I received notification of new ownership/name of the facility - it is now Storage of America. Storage of America keeps billing me & harassing me for rent on the unit that I emptied before they even took ownership. Their email address is defunct & no one responds. I called their phone number many times & when you choose the option for the "property manager" or the option stating that you are an existing customer, it spits you right back into the automated system, where you just answer the same prompts over & over in an endless circle. I finally chose the "new customer wanting to rent" option & suddenly, when they think they may get new money, you miraculously get a person. The rep had no record of my unit having been emptied & went ahead & took the info. She stated she would forward it to the "property manager" for processing. I said I want to make sure that they don't continue to try to charge me for a unit that I stopped renting a month ago - or try to take me to collections, claiming that I owe them a balance. She responded with "it will be up to the property manager". I asked how I can contact the property manager since the automated phone system offers the option to speak to the property manager, but never actually transfers you to them, aaaand.... she hung up on me. This company, and the Red Dot Storage company that they previously claimed to be, are both scam artists. In hindsight, it seems that the property manager, or owner, may have been involved in the scoping out of units for future theft. If you rent here, be prepared to have your units burglarized, your insurance claim ignored, have zero customer service and be billed even after you end your rental. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Rentals of America - 1200 Davis Road include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Rentals of America - 1200 Davis Road start from $15 and can go up to $108 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
