Great experience renting from Storage post in Albany Park, thanks to the location manager Claudia. I didn't have the best experience with their corporate customer service team, lots of conflicting information, but the Albany Park location manager Claudia made sure the unit I rented was accessible from the elevator and parking was available right outside of the entrance to the elevator. As a person with mobility issues, this made a big difference for me. She also took the time to make sure everything worked well during my visits. I found the facility to a clean, well lit & organized. I do recommend storing items in closed containers, I noticed a lot of dust accumulated during the 6 months I didn't access my unit. Price is very compatible with other storage locations, less expensive & reasonably priced than Extra Space storage. ... Read more

I was so fortunate to find such an incredible gem at Post Self Storage!! (Chicago) Robert is absolutely amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience if it wasn’t for him and being so helpful, I wouldn’t have had my storage locker or items in there protected safely and taking the time making you feel welcome and a priority when you just came from having a tough day of moving, made such a difference. Thank you Post Self Storage and most incredibly Robert! ... Read more

We had been thinking of a storage space for some of our lesser used equipment. Iliana was responsive and helpful over the phone and exceeded customer service in person. She showed us the unit, explained the terms and we booked easily and quickly. The space is clean, well-lit and accessible when we need it to be. ... Read more

UPDATE: 4/13 - Matthew reached out to me via phone call with an update and a new code to access the building. He informed me that there was some sort of error in the system and my old code had been deactivated I had a new code but I had never received it. He was very apologetic and did what he could to remedy the situation. He also said he was going to go by the building today to double check my new code works, which is very much appreciated. Original Review: 4/12 - I started renting from them back in the start of January, set up auto pay, moved in no problem. One month in and my auto pay is works as it should but when I go to get in my access code tells me to "see manager". I have called multiple times and left many voicemails across many different days over the past 2 months, gone to the building serval times during their supposed office hours and never been able to find anyone working there! I have stuff in my unit that I need to get to ASAP but I can't get in to the building! I have triple checked and all my bills have auto payed on the first of every month so I don't know what the problem is! This is really disappointing since when I moved in everything was clean and the one staff member I met who showed me the unit was friendly and helpful. But all that means nothing when I can't get into my storage unit that I have paid for. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Post - 3215 West Lawrence Avenue include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Post - 3215 West Lawrence Avenue start from $51 and can go up to $250 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
