I’ve had the pleasure of working with the public storage manager Stephanie. She was very helpful and sweet. Did not rush me and gracefully assisted me over the phone and in person at my storage unit. Stephanie was excellent and hands on. I’ll definitely recommend others to get assistance from her. Thank you, Stephanie for blessing Deshaun and I today. We very much appreciate your service. ... I do not recommend this store facility to anyone not even my worse enemy. The manager of this storage facility husband parks his truck inside the facility so if you have a truck you can’t get in or out due to lack of space. The phone is never answered. When I first came to the storage I was given a unit with bird poop inside the unit on all walls. The second unit I had to pay to transfer which had ants in the storage . The ants got in all my belongings the third unit was better but after a year I will say I’m very happy to be out of the facility as they are not accommodating to people who help keep the storage open. ... At the storage unit there's never no manager. I came early and there was no one there. And I want to cancel the insurance and there's nothing on your website to cancel it and I emailed Orange door and said it has to go thru public storage. I have my own insurance this is a con with this insurance company. They they say I have to talk to a manager well he's never in the office so this is crazy you had nothing on your website to cancel it, and the time on the storage unit he doesn't come till the afternoon so that's what should be on the website. Customer service and the chat is a waste of time. ... Read more

Stephanie was very extremely helpful in getting my daughter a storage for her things until she moves into her apartment. Stephanie advised us on the right size of our unit & even showed us comparable pricing that helped us make a decision that was fair and reasonable! Very appreciative of her assistance. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 3327 West 47th Street include the following amenities: Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 3327 West 47th Street start from $60 and can go up to $213 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
