For a first time storage renter in the city, this was a great location to start moving stuff up north before a big move. Spoke with Rebecca and she was super clear on pricing and instructions. Since it’s not climate controlled, I’d recommend bundling up before going in! BUT I didn’t have anything too special besides furniture and regular decor items.. so a little bit of cold doesn’t matter! Other than that, it’s super easily accessible and the carts they have available definitely help big time. It was supposed to be short term, but it’ll most likely be long term since I’m comfortable with the facility. ... Read more

Jenny was a huge help when I needed to vacate my unit. She was cheery, kind, and answered my questions. She described the process and the steps needed which led to an easy and quick turn around. Thank you Jenny for making my experience pleasant! ... Read more

Facilities are average but again it’s just a storage facility. Staff is very nice and helpful, and is always asking how my storage experience has been or if it can be approved. Secure loading area. Brittany (I’m pretty sure that was her name, worked the front desk and had glasses) was very nice and helpful! ... Read more

Initially I talked to Rebecca and she was very helpful and answered all of my questions. I liked that she called me right before my move to make sure I was ready and had all the information to access my unit. After I moved my things into my unit, she called me as a courtesy call to make sure that the process was smooth and it was. A few days ago I needed to downsize my unit and worked with Betty. Betty was extremely helpful in transitioning to a smaller unit. It was easy to change units. When I came into the Public Storage Office, Betty and Rebecca were very welcoming and I was happy that I was able to meet with them. They explained to me the billing cycle as well as the cost. Thanks Rebecca and Betty for an amazing customer experience. Such great energy from these two ladies. ???????? Thank you! ... Read more

I have used other storage companies in the past due to frequent moves and gaps inbetween moves but by far this has been a great experience so far!! Brittney called me in the morning to help finalize my unit and answered all my questions. I ended up just going in person to make it easier and also check out the unit. Brittney was amazing with helping me change my unit after realizing I booked one that was too small and she showed me to options. The place is also very clean compared to others that I have been to in the past. ... Read more

There aren’t a lot of brands I’m loyal to, but my experience with the team at this location has continued to make me loyal to public storage. I want to give us a specific shout out to Rebecca and George. I had major issues with a moving company delaying my stuff for over 2 weeks. The team at the office at Public Storage was incredible helping me get through that time. They even proactively called to check in when they noticed my unit was still empty. They made themselves available to supervise the delivery when the ETA kept changing up on me and I was having a difficult time making sure I could be there. I highly recommend this location. You’ll get the full service experience, especially during the office hours. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2835 North Western Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2835 North Western Avenue start from $48 and can go up to $301 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
