I recently had the pleasure of working with Betty at the Public Storage on 2638 N Pulaski, and I want to share how impressed I was with the level of professionalism and patience she showed throughout the entire process. Office was beyond crowded as she remained professional at all times. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a friendly and respectful manner. She took the time to really listen to my questions and concerns, and they explained everything clearly without ever making me feel rushed. What stood out to me most was how calm and professional Betty remained, even when people were rude and rushing. Her patience made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and manageable. I could tell genuinely cared about providing great customer service, not just rushing to complete a transaction. I would highly recommend Public Storage at 2638 N Pulaski to anyone looking for storage. Thank you for making this process smooth and stress-free! ... Read more

I had a conversation with Betty, the property manager, who was extremely helpful and promptly returned my phone call! She also provided assistance with my move-out process to avoid incurring additional fees. If you require any help, I highly recommend reaching out to her! I will certainly suggest this location if you are seeking a more convenient experience. ... Read more

This was my first time using a storage unit and it could not have gone better. Check in was so simple, the unit was nice and clean and I had zero doubts my belongings were safe and secure. I had two small questions that were answered in 5 minutes or less. If I ever need a storage unit again, it’s Public Storage all the way. ... Read more

I was cautious of using Public Storage but these guys are fantastic. Brittany, the front office employee, was EXTREMELY helpful in getting us a larger unit after we had arrived. On a 1-5 scale, I'd give her a 7. She was wildly kind, helpful, and accommodating after we had a long day of moving. Very easy check-in with Public Storage app and the unit itself was well-kept. Very easy to drive directly up with our truck and unload. Cannot recommend this location enough ... Read more

Look, our company made the mistake of booking a unit here without first confirming that they accepted delivery of packages. They do not. (Liability reasons. Completely understandable. Our mistake.) However, when I came by mid day to wait for the delivery truck to try to make the delivery *again* (first day was refused ofc), the clerk noticed me and my vehicle, and notified me before refusing the packages. For whatever reason, we couldn't change our delivery address with this carrier. We still don't know why. So this clerk saved us so much time and headache simply by caring enough to get my attention and ensure we had our packages delivered so I could lock them away safely in our unit. Really spacious units btw. Solid security. If you're looking for simple, accessible, secure storage in this neighborhood, or even further tbh, I'd grab a unit. Thanks again to the service desk rep!! ???????????????? ... Read more

When my husband and I bought a home in the then-totally-unfamiliar area of Logan Square/Avondale, we quickly learnt there simply wasn’t enough storage space in our new house… so we were thrilled to find a Public Storage just blocks away. What’s more — they offered us a unit to which we could simply drive up, load/offload without scary stairs and dimly lighted corridors. We just drive right up to our ground floor unit, snag what we need, store what we don’t, and away we go! Everything worked wonderfully for years. Then one day I missed a phone call from their office, saying our credit card hadn’t cleared for that month. And since I’d missed the call (I am, admittedly, terrible at checking my voicemails!), it wasn’t until a full MONTH later that I finally heard the news that our Amex hadn’t accepted the payment for the PS bill. Naturally, I completely melted down in panic. Wtf was wrong??? (????? the expiration date on our card had… y’know… expired! And we’d never thought to call and update the account with Public Storage. Ugh! So dumb on our part!) But when I phoned their office, I spoke with the most wonderful, kind, friendly, funny, patient, and understanding young woman called Brittany. Brittany calmed me down, assured me that all of our belongings were NOT about to wind up on one of those reality shows about people who ruthlessly bid on abandoned lockers, and told me that plenty of their customers experience the “expired card” issue and that I’d be just fine; all I had to do was pop round the office and bring my paperwork (card on file) up to date. Brittany was so sweet to me I can’t begin to describe how well she settled my rattled nerves, even made me laugh when I was about to cry! Brittany is so professional yet personable, knowledgable but not condescending, and sweet but NOT fake. I wish absolutely everyone who works in customer service were more like the awesome miss Brittany! You can tell a great deal about a company by the people they hire — especially when the staff is small and sometimes even a skeleton crew, like this PS location. They clearly don’t bring just *anyone* on board; they choose their customer service staff carefully… and I can so totally see why they chose miss Brittany. She’s the absolute pinnacle of who you’d want representing your business. Thank you so much for your support, service, understanding, and friendliness, beautful miss Brittany! We were thinking of changing locations because this PS location just doesn’t have hours of operation that meet our needs sometimes. But knowing that Brittany *genuinely* cared about us enough to make reminder phone calls and stay so calm and compassionate — we won’t be going anywhere! Thank you so so SO so much for helping us through this mess, sweet sister Brittany! You’re the best! With gratitude, Mr & Mrs Patrick Kennedy LoganDale, Chicago ... Read more

I chose this place because of prior reviews, and now I have the chance to leave one of my own. I rented a storage unit, but my plans changed and I had to cancel. Demarié personally called to tell me my balance was overdue (my fault) and I told him I needed to cancel. They could have demanded I paid the overdue balance, but instead Demarié helped me cancel FREE OF CHARGE. Great customer service. ... Read more

Public Storage doesn't give correct information about their access hours. I was told it closes at 9 PM which convinced me to rent a storage. When I called, the corporate office can't even do anything. I have a truck right now and have to pay another hundred due to false misinformation and upper management not being able to help. Before coming to this place, make sure you aren't being fed false info. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 2638 North Pulaski Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 2638 North Pulaski Road start from $59 and can go up to $332 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
